Can you use the wiring harness and switch from a 95-99 on a 00+ cav? I am swapping my base model bumper for a Z bumper and want to install the fogs on the car. I was curious if it would go right on or if there is other work that needs to be done?

Well it is not just a fog light harness, but it is a full lighting harness. I'm thinking that you will have to make a harness for your self any ways cause you wouldn't be able to control the fogs inside the car.
best/easiest bet is prolly to just make a custom harness and run it into the cab on a switch.
shouldnt be too tough
^^ yep, Just run it like any accessory.. Hell if you wanted to get fancy find a factory dimmer panel with fog light switch from junker, take it and cut a good amount of wire with it. then just run that switch like a accessory switch.. i think its a 3 wire switch.. cuz you'll need your 12v, your accessory and your ground(for it to light up). Shouldn't be difficult.. I know dirty elf did something similar, I remember its on his cardomain page if you want to check that out. think it was sorta like a how to
Do you know what wires are which on the switch? The illumination, ground, and 12 Volt? Also would it be possible to wire them with the markers so they come on with the markers and not just the headlights?

i got myself a universal accesory light harness, wired it in so that it comes on when the car is on. no extra switches, car is on, fogs are on. car is off, fogs are off.

Is the 9005 or 9006 plug the same style as the 880 plug for the bulbs? I know that one of them I thought had matched up or something from what I read before.

that should be fairly simple also.....are the markers in now? or going in soon?
i would assume you'd tap the corner/blinker lights from the headlights.....but it would have to be connected to the constant, not the flasher lead. that is if you plan and using the markers as blinkers.
if that made sense, lol

no. 9005/6 are close to eachother, but nothing like an 8xx series bulb. the8xx series though 880,881,885,886,891,896 etc. all use the same style plug, whether it be straight or 90* bent.

get a 95-99 switch 00+ just sends a signal to the bcm. 1 pin in power in 1 is power out and one is ground i believe
Can anyone else confirm for sure that the 880 and the 9005/9006 plugs are not the same style? Also does anyone maybe have a color wiring diagram to show what is hot cold and remote wires for the switch. Thanks.

880 are small and the 9006/5 are like 2/3 times the size of it

(9006 are the top left ones, 880 are the top right ones) you cant really see the plugs but you can see the size difference

Getting "better built" for the '08...
top left is a 9004 or 9007. top right looks like a 9005 or 9006.
