Before anyone says any thing I have tryed hard to find inexpensive bodykits because I have a low income and can't really afford something expensive like I keep finding these websites where the kit is around $800 and I know that that is over priced If somone could help me out I would appreciate it... I was looking for the vader front bumper I beleive it's called but couldn't find it any where but I would like the sideskirts and rear bumper to be the drift style.... I have a 1995 Cavy.... this is sorta off topic but i have a knock in my engine it sounds like it is coming from the head with the exhaust cam... could someone help me out with that too I am thinking it is the lifters or something.
search the classifieds or regional forums for used kits. beyond that there is always ebay. although i will be the first to warn you that generally ebay kits dont fit well at all. buy them if you or a friend has good fiberglassing skills and want to work on them. other than that, you usually get what you pay for, so be warned.

The knock is prolly lifters or your timing chain..as for a body kit buy it used or spend the money. A bad fitting kit will end up costing more to get fitted and painted then a more expensive one that fits..
do like tabs said, search the forums/classifieds here. i was able to piece together a kit (Import Fighter Front and Rear with Type J Sides for like $100). I doubt you'll get that of a deal (front I got from a junk yard for $60, sides i got from a member off here in trade for some other parts I had, rear I got for a 6 pack a mountain dew from a fellow car club member).
i'd advise against ebay unless its not a knockoff kit. rksport sometimes tosses some kits up on ebay that were returned and whatnot. otherwise the knockoff kits fit like crap and could end up costing you more money in the end to get them to fit compared to just buying a name brand one.

Then you really shouldn't be concerned about body kits but, to answer your question, eBay will be your best bet. If you can work with fiberglass, you can pick up the components you want for a good price.
i agree with everyone else but if you must have a website, here is one, they are not bad. a couple of my buddies got body kits from here. I had Tracy from T&R Autobody put mine on and he said it wasn't too bad. But that was the REAL Bomex kit. Keep in mind he builds custom cars for Jay Leno. And he has been on a lot of T.V. series for body work and custom fabrication.

what have you done with glass work? pics?
your using fiberglass to fix holes in metal?

+1
if so, dont plan on it holding long
see you guys need to use common sense put fiberglass on the inside and out of the cab
never heard of outside and inside. I have heard of using fiberglass for bigrust spots using the fiberglass where you cant see to get a mold and then using bondo to cover it up. I wouldnt suggest it but its a quick and cheap fix. wont last forever though. I have seen people do that who buy beat up cars, and do this for quick body repair to turn a little cash. Like i said i wouldnt recommend it

you need to use common sense and realise that metal and fiberglass expand at different rates and your patch work will crack out.
theres a reason you dont see body shops use fiberglass to fix metal panels.
Good Fitment Body Kit - Fairly Expensive = Good Fitment
Cheap Body Kit - Cheap = Bad Fitment + More Money to Fix it Right = Possibly more money than the Fairly Expensive Kit
by the time all is said & done.
(If you don't have the $$$, then save like someone mentioned above)
You don't think I built my car overnight, do you?
I had to save for things I wanted for this car, & I spend money like a drunken sailor fresh off from
a boat, so it was hard to save. BUT, If I can do it, so can you! LOL
yeah going with a cheap kit will likely either cost you more in the long run to make it look nice or youlle just be running around with a crappy bodykit that is just going to make your car look bad. buy a quality kit and do it right the first time if you want it to look nice. body shops charge anywhere from $50-$100 an hour so you dont want them sitting there all day trying to make a piece of junk body kit fit nicely. and mixing metal and fiberglass is a big no no

Screw all you guys you all act like you are the smartest people on here but you guys are mostly a bunch of fat bastards that have everyone else do the work for you because your to @!#$ lazy.. and that dash peice with glass I was just messing around when I did that I didn't really care what it looked like. But yet you guys didn't say a damn thing bout the dashboard cuz you guys know that you would have someone else do that @!#$ for you because ur too @!#$in lazy. So @!#$ you all
i think you're severely confused.
happen to see that car in my sig??? ya, built with my hands bud. oh, whats that?? a custom widebody? headlight and tail light conversion? pure fiberglass interior?
if you dont want to hear the answers...dont ask the questions.
and FYI, that dash piece....as little as we can see of it since you're prolly trying to hide all the flaws....looks like @!#$
kthx

way to be a dumb ass hole, cock tard. there were a handful of good answers in this thread--people trying to HELP you--before you decided to brag about doing stuff the wrong way and got butt hurt when people corrected you. well, people here will always let you know you if/when you are doing it wrong...welcome to the .org.
but dont think for a second that the people who are telling you that you are doing things wrong are somehow lazy pricks that throw money at a shop. sure, there might be a few like that, but the ones who posted in this thread (i.e. joey or myself) have done their car from the ground up WITH THEIR OWN HANDS. so when you get called out for doing sh!t wrong dont get your ass hurt and cry like a baby. it certainly wont help you while you are on this site and will only serve as a reason for people to NOT help you any further.
lesson 1: cheap bodykits arent always the best idea
lesson 2: glass and metal dont mix that well
lesson 3: you should keep a hemorrhoid donut with you at all times because you seem to get butt hurt easily

save money! i know its hard because we all want things done now, but trust me, when working with cars ... Patience is Key. It makes it that much better when its done. Ive been there done that
