Lookin to buy a tip for now... for my 02 sunfire, i don't want something too big.. most likely 2.25".. With a deep throaty sound, nice low idle.. but only loud if i push the car...
anyone have any good websites where i can go on and buy one?..
Uh why? Tips aren't performance and do not affect sound greatly (unless they are resonated), perhaps your looking for a muffler.....
well im redoing my whole exhaust system in the summer... im just sick of my piece of @!#$ stock, ugly rusted muffler... right now it's just for looks.. until summer
a tip wont make your car loud...
Yes.. thank you.. i've realized that... its mostly just for looks
check out Summit Racing or Jegs. They have a bunch of different tips to purchase. Both bolt on or weld on are available. Its basically personal preference but it should be a start to your search.
honestly, i'd just wait till you redo the exhaust instead of buying a tip...

True, but its up to him. I'd say if you want it now get a bolt-on so you could use it on the new system. Or wait and just get a nice weld-on. Unless you get a tipped muffler when you do the new system.

is that a sedan with shaved rear doors? or just a photochopped sig?
It is photoshopped.. but it's in the shop right now having the doors shaved as we speak.
lol go to candian tire.they are like 15$ for a 3inch out tip
lol, you couldn't have told me that on msn?.. lol
Your having the rear doors molded or just shaving the handles?
summit racing, buy a borla cat back exhaust, its worth it and you shouldnt waste money on just a tip because its just...a waste of cash

i think im gonna go with this... a pacesetter manifold, Magnaflow high-flow cat, 18" resonator, and a 40 series muffler with a 2.25" tip

i like the pacesetter header i got from summit, and im about to get the magnaflow high-flow car, my borla is 2.25" and its nice...
its not ricey at all, and its kinda quiet, actually it really is quiet until you really push the car, when you start your car with the borla it sounds so good..
but im not trying to push it on you
Yea that's exactly what i want... quiet, until i push the car... with a nice low idle
I just think tips give tuners bad names, and give the cops more reason to try and ban after market exhuasts cause theyre "to loud" wich is bs theyre trying to do that around here apparantly
Wow, really!?
That's @!#$... i'd tell em to take a hike.
Borla all the way.I had one of the sport muffler or whatever on my 2.2 and it sounded pretty good actually.Still have the muffler if your intrested in buying it,barely used, shoot me a PM.
Borla duals going on the 4.3 vortec when i get my blazer.. well after i swap the new motor in.
