I have decided to get my whole car painted because of all the chips in the paint. But im not sure what color to go with. I like black but it is a pain to keep clean. I have considered 2 tone, but again, what colors and where to divide it? I know, i know search through other members pics and see what i like best. Nothing has jumped out at me. I plan on keeping my interior black, but accenting it with silver. Below are pics of my car and of my kit. Any ideas for a what color?

stay with black unless you plan on doing the door jambs, trunk, strut towers, etc...

Yea there will be alot more involved if i go to a different color.

instead of doing a two tone why not do something like a nice pearl over the whole thing, or something like that. maybe some marble...? that could look good on black.

yea you could always do that. no one will ever notice that the door jambs and all arent done. keep it black and whatever colored flake or pearl you want. that would look really good.

As you guys can probably tell - im paint dumb. I never looking into it before cuz my truck is a long way off from paint and this is the 1st car i have had thats worth (to me) painting. So im assuming that i can get black flake and all it would do is add "sparkle" to my paint. But what about the pearl and marble? Are they a paint or type of clear? Or a technique while painting?

marble is just what it sounds like....gives a marbled look. joey baggs did it on his car
pearl is also what it sounds like....gives a pearlescent look. if youve ever seen a pearl youll know what i mean.

How would i get the marble affect? Special paint or a special technique? But black marble would be awesome.

i believe after you spray the base color you spray a marbleizer and then wrap the car with saran wrap then pull it off. again, ask joey baggs or read some of his progress threads on his car...im pretty sure there was something on there about it.
