I had to cut mine to get the front bumper to fit when I put my body kit on. I used an air cutoff tool and worked at it very slowly, section at a time, trying to balance it out. I didn't do it for the looks of the impact bar, just to make sure that the body kit would sit level if it started to sag for any reason. It took me a while, but unless you take the bumper off, you can't tell it was done. Basically, you've just got to cut it away with a sharp tool of some sort, mine just happened to be an air tool resembling a large air-powered Dremel. Good luck!
