Need some opinions and help. I went and bought a 2000 z24 spoiler, now i need to mount it, drill holes and all the good stuff. I was quoted 50 dollars to mount it, seems high. Is this a difficult task or can i get it done cheaper?
Do you trust yourself enough to do a good job? If so, do it. If not, $50 isn't too steep of a price to have it installed properly. Maybe someone local can help you out. Call up some friends. Good luck.

no, never done it, thats why i would rather have it done professionally. But i guess if thats the price to pay? thats going to have to happen. Just seems like a lot of money for drilling out a few holes and mounting.

It's not too difficult although you have to be careful with measurements and the drilling itself but, with labor rates today, that is not a bad price at all. If you don't want to do it yourself, you're sorta sol as far as options.
alright, i will have to pay the 50 and get it done, i'd rather get it done right the first time instead of having me jack it up.
Personally I would just do it myself... I never mounted a spoiler until I did the sunfire spoiler on my cav... I just put the wing on the car, marked the holes, drilled the holes, and bolted the wing on! It was really scary drilling into the back of my brand new at the time 05 cavalier but I hated the handling without a wing so it had to be done.

$50 is a joke. If you need to ask the questions, you shouldn't do it lol
I'd pay the cash, and know that its done right.

You hated the handling without a wing?!?
yup! the cross winds from the highways out here would blow me all over the place... I live in an area with alot of hills and bridges and stuff so when the wind would get going through a valley and hit the side of my car while I was driving it would push me all over the place! The bridges where the worst about it... MISNBLU from clubcav told me that a small spoiler would help to direct the wind over the car correctly and he was 100% correct! The wheels helped alot too but the stock sunfire wing made a vast improvement!

Thank god GM designed those wings with handling in mind....
lol I know I laughed at the guy who told me that for a long time before I tried to put it on my car... But when the cross winds hit for some wierd ass reason it helps keep the car straight!
