i have an 00 sunfire sedan... droped 1.7 inch and minor other work... when i am driving even 5 mph it sounds like it is raining... it has been cold out lately around 45, 50... but it is like im driving through a rain storm... i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem with their car.. or even something simmilar....
thank you for your risponses....
john...
i have the same problem here, both front nd rear windshields do it.... front more so. Pretty sure they are blown window seals. Have you been listening to the sub loud without the windows rolled down?
mine only happens when its cold out though... i have a 400 watt amp with one xplode 10".. i dont think that would do it... i drive about 30 miles back n forth 3 times a week and i dont rele hear noise from my windsheild... i hear the wind from my doors.. there extremely loud.... but it sounds like a cracking or crakling noise i only get it at night when is a little cold out... how would you go about checking a bad seal? or fixing it for that matter?
thanks
john
i'm in the same boat as you are. i don't know what to do about it either, i don't really worry about it, just gets super annoying. It is really bad when it is cold out though. I hear just to reseal it, but i have no idea how, and have already posted on it. Now hope for someone to post on how to reseal the window. Mine whistles when the bass hits and i only have a Rockford P1, but it does pound pretty good and can loosen up a seal.
I thought for sure my front windshield had a rattle from my subs, but I've found that I can silence the noise if I take hold of the rear view mirror. Now I'm thinking that the mirror is the culprit. I'm not sure if others might be getting their noise from the same source.

I'm running two 15's with a 1000w amp and I'm not getting any rattle... I get alot from the trunk when the windows are up but when the windows are up it feels like your head gonna explode! Any decent glass repair or windshield place should be able to come out and get you fixed up for a decent price. worst case senario all they have to do is pull of the windshield and remount and seal it, probibly a $100 total.

i understand your problems with your systems, but even with my radio off, it sounde as if i were walking on thin ice... diffrent pich cracks and creeks as i drive. when i drive on a newly paved road with no dips and crevases i hear it very slightly some times not at all, but on bad roads, and belive me i live in NY there are alot of them, it gets realy annoying.
on the flip side, durring the day i don't hear the noises at all. now has anyone experienced anything like that? ( now remember no subs or radio....)
thanks
