Help on Attaching side skirts
Tuesday, August 19, 2008 9:09 AM
I just got a used set of RK skirts (polyurethane) for my sunfire and was wondering what the best way to attach them was. They seem to have some sort of 2 sided tape on them. Has anyone used 3m tape or Butyl Tape (same stuff found behind dynomat) to help attach skirts? cause It seems like im going to need some sort of adhesive for some parts.

Thanks

YOU CAN USE 3 M 2 WAY TAPE, I HOLDS REALLY WELL AND THATS WHAT I USE TO INSTALL SIDE SKIRTS ON OTHER VECHILES AND NOT ONE HAS FALLEN OFF YET AND THAT WAS 2 YEARS AGO.

You can also do rivets along the door jams.....The tape does have a tendency to wear..

I'll give 3M Tape a try. Is there a certain kind that is best for this sort of application? because on there site there is a couple different types.

I'm going to be using Marine grade epoxy and rivets.
