How do I determine the color of my Sunfire? My daughter was out yesterday and someone decided to back into the front fender and drive away while she was in the mall!!! I want to try and find the same color in a scrapyard!! Thanks

your paint code should be on the underside of your spare tire cover.

finding the same color in a junk yard shouldnt be too hard....just look to see what matches. the J lineup for 3rd gens didnt use too many close shades of the same color. EX: if you see a red J, it should all match from 95 to 02 and 03+ is a different color.

do us all a favor though and fill out your profile completely. itll help us when we try to help you.

Look at the bottom side of the spare tire cover in the trunk. There should be a sticker similar to this:

If you want to put a name to the code, visit the Paint Scratch website and look up touchup paint for the car.

yes under the spare tire cover is the paint code look fo a BC followed by a code under it thats your paint code. just like tabs said if you find one in the local scrap yrd 99% of the time it's the same color as what your looking for.
