My carbon fiber hood is faded out. Now what I mean is this... it has like a milky film over top of the resin and fiber. I can see places where it looks like clear coat coming off as well. If I buff the hood out, most of the milky look goes away and the weave of the fiber becomes aparent again. Now what I need to know is, can I sand or wet sand my hood down to the resin and reclear it to fix this? If so, can anyone tell me the proper way and proper grit paper to use in this process.

If it can't drag, it ain't low enough!
Wet sand it with 400 then shoot it with clear. Should solve your problem.
