Hey, i just installed a set of HID's, after i did that i disabled the DRLs by following the sticky, i double checked everything and made sure it was the same as the page.
I tried them out (was getting dark so i doubt they would have came on anyway). Anyway, i armed my alarm and went inside. 20 Min. later the alarm went off. (I've got an LCD remote and it said someone either bumped or opened the driver door. i looked outside and didn't see anybody, so i unarmed it to shut it off. Then armed it again, sure enough 20 minuts later right on the dot they came on again.
So i figured i must have cut the wrong wire, i looked it up on SI (GM's service information) and it says the wire i cut was the headleam low beam signal. so i ungrounded that. Sure enough the alarm stopped going off randomly. I plugged in a Tec2 and could still turn my drls on/off. So I checked what wire i needed for the DRL Relay and it's not even in the same connector. it says the drl relay control was in the third connector (brown one) and it was a light green/black

Thats what it says in SI, Has anyone else ever come across it? I've yet to crawl back under there to switch it to see if it works for sure. I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.

that sounds like an alarm problem more than anything......you said it was a door trigger??
Yeah, i got kinda fed up with it and took it to the place that installed it, I knew it was something going on when the computer went to sleep but i had no clue what it was. They said they just had to put in relays after the door pins or something.
Thanks for the response though.
And one more question, if you disable the DRl's (using the sticky for 00+ cars) should you still be able to turn them on/off with a Tech2? I was using one at work and i could still get them to enable and disable

that I dont know.
Doing the disable from the sticky should only tell the BCM that they are on by grounding the signal.
If you have a tec2 why didnt you just use it?
thats how mine are done on my 05
yeah, i didn't realize i could disable it through the Tec2. I read that when i got home, so the next day i went it did it with that also.
