meh they were probably posting at the same time, since Tyler was throwing in pics it may have taken him a few minutes to upload.
scoreboard;
most people are indifferent/slightly supportive
others don't see the rationale/ don't care
let him finish and post pics of the actual mounting and then better decisions can be made of his design.
looks good.. but idk about on the car. I have to see it painted.
definitely don't like the lines of your hood and bumper accented.. looks ridiculous.
I think if you dropped that crap and got the brush guard powdercoated black it'd look decent.

Why the half assed evil eyes?
Same reason, the owner wanted to.
looks a LOT better without the license plate there.
my only beef is the lines on the hood and in the grille... the white accent or whatever the hell it is
ditch that and it'd look awesome
I have to keep the plates on there because I got a warning already for having it off. I had it off in the pics because I got a new plate holder that is more blacked out and I had to bend it into the v.

HAHA owned!
As others have stated, in the case of an accident it would likely make the damages worse
However i applaud you on the customization
That's the biggest plate protector I've ever seen......
Out of curiosity did you make the cross bars out of solid stock or heavy wall tubing?
Suffering from more imagination than sanity......
I kinda like the guard...no so much on the silver / chrome lines.

Tubing was 3/8'' wall. It was some really odd dimensioned tubing that they had in stock for whatever reason so I got a super deal on it.
I just would like to see you push something now! That is the only real reason anyone has one of these.
Go on your bike and stand infront, I'll push you
Personally I don't see the point. The quality of it is good. You did a great job on it, but I don't think it looks right on there. And my GOD that chrome door trim crap on your hood looks damn ridiculous.
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

hmm. at first i was like.. WTF?
but now that its black and matches the car.. not bad.. not bad at all.
Yeah now that is black it doesnt look that bad but I agree its not really there for safety but I dont think it will cause to much more damage in an accident. Aluminum is not that strong when its not a cast so it should just fold up before it messes anything up on your bumper that wouldnt have been messed up initially....Does that make any sense lol
I dont care what anyone says.. you tried something new and It looks good.. You know its not really going to serve a purpose in a real accident you just want to do it for fun..
If your getting into an accident serious enough the gaurd isnt going to make it worse or better..But if you get into a small one that normally leaves your bumper almost untouched then again, this wont be affected much it at all..I was in a small rear end accident last summer where my bumper was fine except the grill cracked, when I replaced it the bumper support/brace was bent dirrectly in the middle.. this may or maynot help from "love tap" or "bumper kiss" type accidents but I HIGHLY doubt its going to make that kind worse just by being there.
again.. Good job.
looks awesome kinda reminds me of a po po. good work but the frotn rails o nthese 3rd gens arn't that strong. i have acouple friends that have derbied them and the strong points are the rears of the 3rd gen's but if you do find yourself going ot hit some thing hit it stright on. it'll help out emmensly with the weight dist.
I think the idea is great, and you could even experiment with different designs and possibly make it look even better.
a plus for the effort and time but not something i would want on my car
I REALLY like the outcome of this project and would consider one for myself too. But one thing puzzles me. Why do people seem to PLAN on wrecking their car? As a general rule, don't most people tend to at least try to avoid accidents? *confused*
Looks Great! not functionable but looks pretty good. i had an idea like this for my 97 but never got to it. good effort.
now you just need strobes and a concealable lightbar!!!! lol
