Has anyone here had a canvas top installed on their car? I remember seeing a second gen with a cloth top back at the 01 bash. Question is does anyone know any vendors who produce the cavas version. Wanting to get away from the vinyl tops. Going for a camel or creme top this time.

i would talk to your local shop. i wanted to have a top like bMw verts have.

Just curious, why don't you want vinyl? I haven't seen fabric tops for 3rd gens, but I'm sure someone could make one up. - Mark

I suppose i could go with vinyl again since it never sets uncovered anymore, but i was looking for the more quality look and richness of color of canvas.

I put a Canvas/Cloth top on mine,love the look over the vinyl. Bought it from topsonline.com and put it on in about 8hrs.

My local upholstery shop could order either vinyl or canvas. I went with vinyl, that was over 9 and a half years ago. It was a lot cheaper. Hopefully my Cavlier will transform into a Camaro this year.
