ebay projectors have that ugly looking black shroud. i took mine apart slowly without even using the oven method and removed the plastic piece.
what you mean? I dont mind the black part, the chrome ones does not have that

I got the black ones and painted the chrome accents black for a better look by only baking them for 8 minutes. Oh by the way get some ccfl rings! The weak led halos dont look bright at all. You'll be surprised with how bright the ccfl rings are, they can be seen in direct sunlight. I have pics if you need them.

Nope you are incorrect wizard, the ccfl rings do not come with the headlights. You get the standard led rings. Here is the link to where I bought the ccfl halos.

what size are the 1 piece projectors? as in, what size ccfl would i need to order?
You need to order 2 pairs, one in 80mm and one in 85mm. The inner halos for the DRLs are slightly smaller. Btw disable the DRLs cause they look tacky and kill the awesome look of the ccfls.

I set it on 220. They should come apart easy but dont let them cool off cause the glue will harden fairly quick. Gloves are highly required.
