I didnt know this was cardomain.
Are all EcoTec fuel lines THAT close to the header?
Err.. wrong picture above, sorry!
Here my long time coming progress, should give you lots of ideas lol
First got the car:
Day after I got it, transmission died, won a 2.3 "lo" manifold on ebay, so I installed it waiting on tranny:
Had issues with the motor running, switched back to the 2.4 manifold thinking it was the issue(was bad plug wires when I swapped to the dodge neon coilpack) was doing a black/silver theme under the hood, got the car back on the road:
Was wanting to be different lol:
Decided it was too different, added some black("relocated the fusebox"):
Figured out the issue, and had a friend cut off the studs on the manifold and re-installed it:
(failed) full CAI, no IDI cover:
Cleaned up a bit, painted coolant reservoir, fuse box returned, strut bar solid black:
Changed the IDI cover, put it back on:
"wire tuck" around the intake manifold:
And this is where I am now.
been working on doing more of a "wire tuck" got the intake looking cleaner, going to remove the wire loom around the injector harness, and when I replace the intake gasket, get the area behind the fuel rail painted.
Moving the cruise control behind the firewall, where the wiper motor is located.
This is my old white engine from my 98' CavFire:
That enough painted 2.4's for you? lol
I was hoping you wouldn't see this thread Spencer lol

I like this, very nice engine bay. How did you do the W41 in the center of the IDI cover?
That's a stock W41 IDI cover.
Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.
yep, and its the actual engine not just a cover. Top pic since im guessing youve never seen one before. Soory its got water spots on it i was in the middle of cleaning it.
I've got crabs under my hood!
2009 Ford Mustang V6
I didnt know they made a cover like that never seen one. I have seen post here about W41 cams or something like that in the performance section. When you say its an actual engine, is that its code number? Like the 2.4L twincam is LD9. and also what cars/years did that engine come in?
Yes its the RPO code W41 motor. Just like twin cams RPO code is LD9.

but vin code still reflected an "A" like the HO Quad LGO engine.
thast awesome, never saw the "made for.." on the W41 cover.
Not sure what to paint my idi cover its like a stock grey color. but have a white car.
What kind of paint did you use on that IDI cover, is it a high temperature paint like the kind autozone has? I used autozone paint on mine but I like the shade of red yours has alot more than mine.
i gave it to my painter he used a base/ clear type of thing that high temp. Matched it to the factory red as much as possible then poilished the letters/ridges.
Technically the W41 was an option code for the car(Kinda like Z24 for the cavalier), the engine itself is still option code LG0 or VIN "A" on the car.... from my understanding
I have a W41 cover on my LD9 for the hell of it. I over paid for the cover because i wanted one pretty bad $90+ shipping on the bay. It was in sad shape though....had to do a little painting and what not to get it looking good again.
i found my w41 cover buy it now $20 on ebay
out of ohio somewhere.
and yes W41 still had the LGO rpo code.
