How to align fenders?

Whats up everybody?

It has been a while since I have had to align the fenders on my car. Well thankfully that time has come where I need to start piecing the body back together and S&R is about finished with my 2200 turbo build.

Is there any tips or tricks I need to know when aligning my fenders for proper fitment and spacing when it comes to the pinch well by my doors?

Thanks in advance, I searched and could not find exactly what I was looking for.

keep all your bolts loose until you get the fitment you like. on my teal cav i made the bolt holes bigger so i was able to push the fenders closer to the hood.

I've heard that it makes it easy to wedge a piece of folded card board in between the door and the fender then tighten the bolts?

Does that work? Or not so much?

drill out the holes on the fenders.. help with closing the huge gaps with the hood.
