When you swap from a 03 cav front to a 02 cav fron what needs to be changed in regards to the hood latch and such.
I know the actual hook on the hood needs to be swapped, but does the latch or any of the support stuff need to be changed as well??
Yes, the latch needs to be changed as well.
Along with the hood, headlights, bumper support/foam, bumper. You also need the 2000-2002 marker brackets on the side to hold the marker lights for the 2000-2002 front end. Just bolts in.
I should add the swap is already done....but the hood doesnt seem like it fits right.....This was done by the previous owner so im trying to get things done correct.
So when you say latch do you mean the actual latch that grabs the hood? Or do you mean the the little metal hoop mounted on the hood? Does the latch support thats bolted to the core support have to be changed?
I did the same swap, the hood does take a bit of tweaking to get it to look decent
