That header doesn't look like it will fit an auto, I dunno.

I honestly could not tell you if it does or not. It has been a long time since I have worked on a J with an auto, so I am not familar with the clearances. I can take some measurements when mine is installed if that will help.

idk.. i think it will fit... the pipes come straight out and then hug the firewall.
anybody else have input?
180hp in 1989 or 145hp in 2002, you decide. >
I'm going to email him tonight and get mine on order ASAP... my install will have plenty pics... however as soon as i get it, i'm gonna take it to my powdercoat shop for either a Jet black or ceramic coating... (probably the jetblack as it handles more heat)
in two weeks imma order the universal piping kit, and hopefully the hush power muffler...
then i just need an LSJ muffler and an exhaust cut out, and i'm good to go...
i'm shooting in july to do the install...
What are you circling there?? Looks like a big empty space with a 5 speed in the background.
lol... where the auto trans is supposed to be.

I would have to see one in there first. It will be really close if it does clear.
Three pedals FTW.
Lol love it.
Taking a look at that pic, I think it will fit. But GETTING it in place is another story for the autos. Thats a tuffy

lol so drop the trans and the subframe... install header, install trans, then install subframe. done.
(aka a big fawking pain in the ass)

Ron emailed me last night... he said i can add a reducer after the flange on the header, then he quoted me a price shipped w/o flange... so i emailed him back.. i just wanted to make sure that was without the second (matching) flange i had asked for as opposed to no flange at all...
i also asked where i can get a reducer from...
so hopefully with all that taken care of, i'll be ordering this weekend!!!
zyaa is right...given the what it takes to install it on a 5speed..im not sure what it would be like on an auto. it would probably fit with an auto there, but getting it IN is another story...everything would need to be dropped. you might get lucky though. we wont really know till someone tries
well with some luck ill be getting mine this winter so ill try it out.
my subframe and trans will be out.

sorry..that was one of the stipulations of making copies of my header.....none made for ecotecs.....since the eco has sooooo much more aftermarket support as it is, i didnt think it would need any "quad parts" to make it better hahahaha
GREAT NEWS!!!!!!
my header bolted in with zero subframe modification . we had to lower it to slide it in, but the sub frame bolted back up in place. the collector seemed to be exactly where the stock cat was (i'm assuming since the stock cat was replaced with a magnaflow a long time ago)
What we did notice however is that the header is slightly angled toward the driver side of the car, so further down the pipe line, we were able to slightly angle it back so we could run the remainder of the pipe.
