well i mocked everything up yesterday, but the remaining piping is going to the powder coat shop for ceramic coating
so when i fired it up to move it, all i had was header/cat bolted up. that sounded good.. .now i know how it will sound with the cutout open
crappy pics i know... i'll try to get better ones when everything is ceramic coated

now im not the only one who has this header...i dont feel special anymore
just got mine Monday, yes Brad instant BONER. Cant wait to get it installed!
Are you guys installing heated O2's?
i am running the stock front o2... my wideband... and my stock rear o2...
i got it coated with thermochrome, which can withstand 1300 degrees and is a chrome powder (powdercoated)
i am following it with a knock off high flow cat, and atomic custom 2.5" piping with cutout and the LSJ exhaust... i had no room for a resinator
wow..maybe i shouldnt have had my header copied hahaha kinda liked it when i was the only one that had one.
and yes..i HIGHLY suggest installed a heated 02 , ive had severe problems with mine at idle
ive been watching him build these on q4forums for a while, just waited for the j body version to come out and have the cash at the same time lol
why a heated 02? because its so far back?
yes if its too far from the head it cant maintain a consistant temp and wont read correctly.
got a part number of ones you all are using?
well how about that.. a straight answer as to why you need a heated 02. thanks spence. i never understood why...
and lol scott, quit crying only a handful of people will have these headers.
and obd2 may react differently than like scott's obd1 to the 02 sensor deal, could be why your's is possibly handling things different, kyle.

i have a 2 wire setup, i havent ran the car yet so i dunno how its gonna react... the piping is getting ceramic coated
in reference to the Caspers set up, you could always go and get a stock downstream O2 from a 96-up cavalier, they have the same plug, actually plugs in right by the engine lift point on teh exhaust cam bank. Heading to the yard this weekend and ill check it out. Ill post my findings.
i ordered the caspers, ill let you know how it runs when i ve got it installed
wow thats badass. ill have to get one of them for mine when i finally get it...

Or you just make your own the kit is nice but why spend $90 when you don't have to.
I think I'm going to have to splurge and get me one of these headers YUMMY.

I think bigfoot is blurry,
that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra
scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster, roaming the countryside.

so since my stock 02 is two wire and every solution posted up here is to fix a 1 wire setup, imma try it with my stock 02... anything i should be looking for to tell that it is @!#$ up (and not something else @!#$ up)
well your 2 wire most likely has one signal wire and one heater power wire and grounds though the pipe itself.
any updates on the o2 kit, in the process of installing my header as well.
my stock setup has worked just fine for me... imma try to get to the dyno today and get a pre tune run...
(by pre tune, i mean that the fuel trims have been tuned after to the motor build and before the header install, and that the spark timing has not been adjusted at all yet)
then i need to fix a reoccurring phantom knock sensor circuit code (knock sensor appears to be functioning on every scanner ive used including HPT, but yet throws a circuit code every couple days... replaced the sensor once and the wiring back to the harness looks good... i hope i don't have to tear the harness apart...
then i can do the final tune
points to teh back of the car at an angle but i guess thats what flex pipe is for.
