Well the show ended up being ok. They had some issues that need to be addressed and I'm sure they will be. Example is the rediculous traffic flow on site to the judging tents. It shouldn't take me 2 hours after I;m done being judged to get back to my parking spot no more than 600 feet away.

I took 1st place Chevy/GM 2 Door Mild, so I'm happy there. I wasn't happy about getting pulled into the "Best of ....." judging Sunday where I had to re-clean the whole car on the spot after it rained saturday night and I was already packed ready to head home. Trying to chemically clean a black car in the hot ass sun does not work to well.....

Pictures would have been up last night but we got home too late because of the formentioned holding. We have I believe over 500 pictures to put up and I have to put together all our video footage from 3 cameras. The video will take a week or so due to my work schedule and wanting to edit it properly.....

Yea the line for judging was redicules.I didnt bother to clean my car again sunday but then again I didnt get judged let alone have to get re-judged for possible best of show. Congrats on the award! A couple of the guys I went with got awards, my friend with his saturn got 1st place domestic other(i belive wild?) and my other friend got second place 2 door something(Once again I believe wild) with his 91? Nissan 240SX. Wasnt paying to much attention to their classes since I didnt get judged myself.

i've got about 300 or so pix from the show as well... saw alot of j's but didn't get a chance to talk to anybody.

other than the organization of the show, it was a pretty good weekend. didn't take anything home though. the 4 door gm class was owned by the grand ams...

I got raped in my class. I was in other domestic. I was the one with the cavy front end conversion. It took me like 2 hours to get back to my parking spot as well. Most unorganized show I have ever been too. Besides the rain it was a good show.

We didn't see many cops till Saturday night. Even then most of them were cool. There is generally a lot of state troopers up in that area because a lot of it is goods country up in Central PA and not a lot of towns have police departments or big ones at least.

Yeah, it was a pretty good show, unorganized, and the judging sucked, but there was a lot of really nice cars there, and a huge turnout, and the weather was ok, but overall the show was cool. I ended up taking 2nd place in GM 2 door mild. There was a lot of nice j's there. brad it was cool meeting ya. overall, it was a pretty good weekend. can't wait to see the pictures once you guys get them up!

Welp 525 Pictures are up on our site so far. I am getting the disc form camera 2 out of 3 tonight so they should be up tomarrow in addition.

One thing that irritates me is Brand's camera. It doesn't have a flash and for some reason it turns certian reds into pink which makes no sense. A few of those pictures i will see if I can @!#$ with the color to correct it when I have time later this week.

Anywasy keep checking back.

I've been to every custom compact and now modified madness show that carlisle productions has put on, and to be completely honest this one was the worst in my opinion. Carlisle fairgrounds were by far the largest and best shows, everything was right there, all of the events took place at the stadium, cars were grouped together, judging was taken care of by the judging staff, and the atmosphere itself was much more like what a sport compact show should be. I believe last years show in Harrisburg was a great show, despite the issues it had i would have much rather seen the show be at the farm complex again, and hopefully it will be in the future, but they need to choose one venue and just stick with it. I really was just disapointed with Penn State, i waited in line for about 2 hours to get in the show, 4 of my club members were in the show and hour before me, and i was ahead of them, the lack of organization was ridiculous. The judging well i wont even start on that, i chose not to waste 3 hours of my time waiting in line, i wish i could have been judged but sitting in a line just wasnt my idea of a good time. Furthermore if i would have been judged my car most likely would have been a wild, and thats complete bs, i have no body kit and i have 17" rims, but because all of my mods are to my engine and suspension my car is "wild" i guess i just dont really feel thats fair to compete against fully kitted, lambo doors, 19" rims, fully molded interiors when im just all about being clean and just doing the suspension and engine. I could go on for hours on the things i dint like about the show, but i will say i had a great time, although that was mainly because of the people i met and went with, no complaints there, everyone seemed awesome. I agree about the cops, there were a ton, but thats a good thing for a weekend like that. Sorry i dint get to meet any fellow org members though, i saw a few of your cars but dint see any of you next to them. Maybe next year, wherever it will be.

I went, there were alot of people. Honestly they should have been more prepaired. And the whole driving to the tent thing was a bit crazy. Then after all that you had to wait in line to check lists, and it was only at one tent. I don't get it, if it's such a big show shouldn't they be more prepaired? We only had one instance with the cops and from what I hear it wasn't bad. But me and 2 other guys got tickets for parking in front of our friends house. What kinda bs is that! Congrads to those who won!

Re: Modified Madness
Tuesday, May 24, 2005 11:02 AM
you had to drive to the judging tents last year too... but for whatever reason, it wasn't nearly as big a problem as it was this year. if they hold it there again, they really need to have the judges walk around instead of driving up to the tent.

rice fest first of all where are pics of ur car. next of all it was not a rice fest there were soem cars not up to par but what shows dosent have those. I would say 3/4 if not more of the 1500+ cars there were up to par and show how big this show is. now it still has its problems with the show let alone some of the after shwo activities but how can u make a state ment there with many cars there with 20 to 50 grand in them that does nto sound liek a rice fest to me. thank u all fo rhearing me out . thats my opinion I woudl liek to hear others though.
