Just because a show has some rice in it doesn't mean it's total rice! There was alot of cars there that worn't even close!

but in all seriousness in all of these shows theres cars who are overdone, but thats the persons taste. I own a shop here in NY and trust me i get alot of kids coming in who want certain things done that i really wouldnt do to my own car, but its not about that, this lifestyle is all about a persons personal expression. I saw alot of amazing cars at the show, and i also saw a few who i thought should have spent the 50 bucks on something to help their cars, but overall a decent show. The rice statement is just ignorant, ive been to Sema and HIN shows and to be honest i feel as though theres a hell of alot more "rice" there than i saw at this show. On a side not i was wondering if any of you guys happened to see my car there or snap any pics of it, my camera decided to mess up and i lost all my show pics, all i have is video of the show now. But if any of you guys might have got my car i would really appreciate if you could send me some pics of it, just let me know. I was the clean green z24 cavy with nitrous over by the judging tents, i was parked with my shop and club members 607 Motorsports, we had a 98 red supra twin turbo, a white 99 GS-T eclipse , 03 white tib gt, and 2000 blue civic si, lemme know if anyone got pics, thanks guys
i guess i see things a little differently...i drive a corolla, have driven a corolla for the past 3 years(almost) that i've been on the forum, and i get called rice periodically.
why? because i drive a car marketed by a japanese company, yet built in California. hell, half the cavy drivers on this site can't even claim their car was BUILT here.

Funny thing is I remember I think it was on my old name that I had a signature that said something about 'what's the difference between a tuner and rice? Tuners make this thing look good'. It was a joke at a friend, yet I got people jumping down my throat about it. Apparently there is a difference.
the funny thing is... rice used to stand for rice burner. a term used to describe the foreign cars that were very fuel efficient. they ran on rice instead of gas was the whole joke. somehow the whole "i put a wing, altezzas, and muffler on my car and think it's the greatest thing on god's earth" became the new definition of rice.

2) That yellow crap tastic thing I see with the silly "ram air" hood is a f'ing joke. I have seen like 5 cavi's with that lame hood and side skirts..all in ricer yellow.
