I never said that everyone at the show was perfect. I stated that they whole show shouldn't be written off to someone because of a low percent of idiots. She also stated about her accident she knows about, and claims she "heard" about others. She has still yet to tell me where I can find all these articals about street racers wrecking and it being directly linked to the show.
I frequent another Board which is FIre/EMS related which covers the whole country and its broken down by state and counties. I talk to people from carlisle, harrisburg, Biglersville, York, aspers (the rivalries in this area are interesting), ect out in that area, and this topic of directly linking the show participants to all these "heard about " accidents has NEVER popped up in the 2.5 years I have visited this board. And Guess what, major accidents are discussed all the time on this board and their cuases since Rescue work is a FD/EMS responsibility.
Further more I have been here since 02 and have seen you do nothing but consantly try to cause issues "by stating your option" then try to come off as a smart ass "I'm better than you" worse than some of these compact enthuisiest you speak of. Since its obvious you bring nothing to the community anymore maybe its time to find some local friends or start conversing via AIM or email instead of trying to act "better" than the rust of us rowdy hooligans....Sorry but the remark "I'm still here because I have friends on here is a lame excuse"
PS the "sandy" remarks are starting to get a bit old...

i never said that i had newspaper articles or anything ELSE of the sort directly linking said accidents to the show - however, that would be enough for me to avoid the place. i seem to be an accident magnet to a slight degree - they happen around or to me more frequently than most people. sorry if my desire to keep my car and myself safe doesn't please you - as i've said, i don't do anything to keep you happy.
i have gotten to the point where i'll help out people around here who need help, but since you're special enough never to need help, you've never seen that side of me. your loss...
by the way - i DO have friends in real life(*GASP!!*). since you apparently watch all my posts, have you noticed that i'll go for days, weeks, or even MONTHS without posting?!? IMAGINE THAT!! maybe that's because i do actually have a life beyond this forum!

I'm really starting to think you people bitch because others are wasting money you don't have on questionable stuff. The car isn't built for you or to please you. The cars are built for the owner AND IF that person wants to compete with others in an array of areas, including different types of racing and shows. Its called a hobby.

I come around here during the spring and summer months for event information and occasionally in the winter when I'm looking for specific info. I usded to be premium, but I tried of people like you and stopped visiting as often as I did. I'm not asking you to please me. I'm asking you to stop being a @!#$ hypicrit. Sorry but about 3 years and the only thing I can remember about your posts are sarcastic remarks speaks for itsself. In 2002 /2003 I was on all the time. You start to reconize frequent people and how they post. Every time you posted a thread I was in it was some moronic "take the other side" views. Its almost like you like to go against the grain.
I just walked in form working over night and my wife was walking out the door. She asked why I was on here typing so much. no, sorry, won't be going back to OC this year. i went for one show this year - that was my vacation. my money has more important plans than going back to ocean city.
you really have no idea what i say on the whole of JBO. lately i haven't been on here as much, but i guess you've missed previous posts where i've participated and HELPED people in other sections(performance related...), and i've had people thank me after the fact for the help i've given. as i've said, i really don't care when it comes to stuff i say in here or OT/AG...i've got a similar mindset as Scruf does around here. i know what i know, i know WHO i know, and if a couple of people don't like me, so be it. it's no skin off my back...just one less person that i have to worry about in the long run.

Now how can you be against a show like MM because of all the bad apples causing masisve 400 car pile ups with babies heads flying threw the air, yet associate with a group like this, that hangs out in parking lots and has to ask people NOT to bring what they do on the streets back to teh hang outs? I though people just used streets to get form point A to Point B. Does this mean that *GASP* (<---yeah baby!) people may be doing illegal stuff that you hang out with .......

heh...that may be the case, but yknow something? there is a general respect among those folks. we'll harass the crap out of each other, but the folks that DO street race keep it quiet...enough that i never hear about it happening. do i condone street racing?
NO, but that doesn't mean i can't talk to those people. have i witnessed them street race? no...but i've seen kids leave the PA show racing down the street, pull into the nearest gas station, and start talking about their awesome nawzzzzzzzz setup - when they have no idea what they're talking about.
in the few versions of the sport compact show that i've attended in PA, there has been little respect. i've seen more smack talk there than on THIS forum - and that's pretty freakin outrageous. do you see a difference between the two situations yet?

Totally with ya! Just sad how jacked up this post was because SOME people don't like Modified Madness. BAH! Take your crap elsewhere, people here actually wanted to talk about the show. Instead of sitting here talking about who saw what, where things were and all that other good stuff, this thread turned into an argument.
