DJ it's kind of an inside thing I guess. It is just funny how every time we watched a video of a supra no matter what it was up against even a Jet as soon as it hit 4th gear the car was gone. So it became the story that nothing can beat a supra once it hits 4th gear.
BTW anybody know how to find out WTF this is about?

Hahahaha, that Turbo S was either packin a BT, a 100 shot, or both... Don't you always love how every time a guy has a video where he gets beat by an "inferior" car, there are always subtitles with excuses like "boost leak" or "foot slipped off clutch" or "accelerator jammed"??
Adam, where'd you find that video... I'd like to try and track down that NB owner. There are rumors of an 11 second Bug that was owned by some guy in the area, although i find it hard to believe that no one has ever heard of it but his friends... beyond the fact that there's only 3 or 4 current 11 second mk4's and a beetle that fast would attract some attention.
And don't worry guys, there will be a lot more videos like that one once pj gets the supra on the road

I dunno dj, in all the videos I've downloaded (I have 70 or so) of JUST supras racing something else... I've only seen the supras take the fall maybe 5 times.
In the video of the beetle vs supra lot meet thing, the beetle puts up a fight the first time, but in the second round the supra pretty much leaves it for dead.. further adding to the lore of the 'undefeatable' supra
A lot of people make the mistake of racing supras on highway. Most supras (we're talkin mkIV guys here) swap out the stock twin turbos for one large turbo, sacraficing spool for killer top end chase-down power. so the moral of the story is:
Don't race a supra on the highway. Supras own the highway.

Hey guys nothing personal but I came to a decision that I need to take a slight break from the org. I'll still check in on the threads for our meets and stuff. And I'll post in the events forum like I had been doing but I think I just need to relax a bit and take my mind away from it. I don't know how long I'll stay away yet, but as of right now I can say a minimum of waiting until next month or so. You all know my IM name so hit me up there if you want.

MASS EXODUS!!! Seriously, if any of you guys are on other forums you know how much this place is a fricking joke. I can find more valuable information on fordfestiva.com than I can here.
The mods are only mods as a power trip, they don't actually do anything useful to enhance the community, oh like, making stickies of useful information (or at the very least reporting to Dave that they should be stickied, if he's the only one that can do that), or perhaps spending more time warning people who post the same freaking question instead of warning PJ for wasting bandwidth... Wasting bandwidth? Half of the performance forum is wasting bandwidth with retarded posts like "how do i install my cold air intake" or "which exhaust is best?" If its in the FAQ, or found with the search function (which also sucks, btw), and you post a question that doesn't go any more in depth than the material covered in the FAQ, your post should be deleted and you should be warned right off the bat. But no, no one does that, which would free up infinitely more bandwidth, but instead we bitch at longtime members who have actually contributed to the community...
For years i've wanted a J so i could really be a part of this place.... lately i've been glad i can say i'm "just visiting" because this forum is a joke. It seems like I care more about the J community than admin and most of the mods... its pathetic.
I'm gonna talk to festa and some of the other computer geeks in the Jersey J's and see about making a more legit forum, be it either a Jersey J homepage that is open to all j-bodies or our own improved version of the .org... either that or i'll just stay on vortex where i belong lol... here's the DJD club website which is pretty badass... we could do something like that and then take it to the next level.
