I know the prothane brushing fit but Im guessing the tolerances for the press fit are a bit more forgiving on the bushings vs. A metal spherical joint
Exactly. I will see if I still have the spare Steel J arm in the shop. I know 100% sure I dont have the aluminum version. I would need whats stated above to make sure they fit before I go ahead and say they fit 100%.

It depends. They will pivot up to 20 degrees. I am not sure how far the factory units go. Basically you will be limited by the thickness of the outside lip which is 1/8" thick.
Wouldn't this be the first thing you'd want to check before you start designing parts like this? The last thing you'd want to do is put the Heim joints into a really hard bind and shatter them or shear some bolts when you're driving. I understand these would probably go on cars with stiff suspension that wouldnt see a lot of deflection but suspension stuff should always get extra attention in my book.
