Time markers.
I don't doubt that you made the run. I doubt the track you ran at. The only paved section of the track is what you race on.

You ran a 15.1 @87.xx
I ran a 15.7 @ 87.xx
That just doesn't add up to me. We have similar mods. With similar 60's, 2.2's
I mean half of the timing markers didn't even work.

Your time is probably right but the trap speed is WAAAAYYYYY off.

Look at the guy in the other lane...

He ran a 9.4 1/8 @ 76.13 which is about right....but only traped 89 in the 1/4 with a 14.7. it should be in the mid 90's. My guess is that the 1/4 trap sensor is off and needs to be calibrated.

you should be at around 90-91 mph.

I ran a 15.13@ 91.36 with a 2.213 60'.

It could be either the trap speed or the ET is off.

As I said before it doesn't make sense. And I can no longer judge a car by track times. sad really. A 15.1 is about Acura RSX type-S fast. And I highly doubt you're hanging with those. I should race my friends type-s just to see how badly i'd be beaten. -end rant.

I'll probably go to Sanair track soon, so I'll see if you're right, I'm not telling you that you are wrong, but the other guys that came with me at Pont-Rouge (95 Trans Am and 9* Mustang GT) made runs about the same time as usual on a track. I'll see it at Sanair anyway.

I ran my buddies rsx-s (intake, exhaust, short shifter) and actually beat him by a small margin. At the time all I had was intake, and yes- we BOTH can drive stick like its our damn job. There are certain benefits to having a 4 cylinder with more torque than hp...

Re: 14 sec N/A ECOTec

^^^actually regardless of good or bad launch for the rsx-s, a rsx-s should always pass us in the high 2nd gear or beginning of 3rd gear, and then they easily should get a couple lengths.

so sorry, I don't believe it. You see, they still have about 140 tq to our 150, which is not a big difference and they have 60-70 more hp than us, depending on the year. which is a damn big difference.

15.958 @ 88.201 stock, still getting @!#$ty launches...

alright well Im sure the fact that he had his 17"s and a subbox in the trunk had something to do with it...and I dont make this @!#$ up. It wasnt by much- but I edged him out.

your race makes sense if it's a reg rsx, but not an s. they run high 14's with a good driver, and you said he was in fact a good driver. The best driver in an eco with an intake can't ever touch high 14's, he's lucky if he can get a low 15. I agree, weight of rims and subs can be an issue, next time get it on vid.

You shouldn't be able to touch an rsx-s. That's it, i'm going to ask my buddy if he wants to race. But til then

Congrats! I knew someone would do it! Couple questions if you don't mind?

1) How did you get your oil pressure gauge to work?
2) Where did you get your MSD PN 8739 2 Step RPM Module & MSD PN 8950 RPM Activated Switch and how did you hook it up?

Again, congrats on the great run and look forward to more out it!

Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?

1) I havn't hooked it up yet, but im workin on it, i have to find the sending unit, I think I misplaced it when we moved back in November.

2) I purchased them both from Jegs.com. I was going to try to use them together somehow with a light to show me when i was above a certain rpm at the starting line when the clutch was in, then down the track use it again to change rpm settings on the tach. I didn't get them to work, im thinking that the cars tach voltage is not strong enough.

Good Questions
