drifting is for gay honda boyz who can't pull descent 1/4 mile times, or get own3d at autocross.

I think people who drift on the street, or in public places are retarded, and live an illusion about themselves.

Go to a real race, get own3d, keep telling yourself your a racer and not a ricer.
Its not like good drifiting does not take a fair amount of skill. I know pleanty of people that do drifting that have fairly quick cars. People drift in public places because there is no where else for them to do it. Its similar to some guy you see skateboarding down the street. Where are you going to skate board if there isn't a skate park in your town?

For some reason idiots have given it a bad image. I wouldn't be so quick to discredit it Josh.
most ricers who drive hondas don't drift. and just because you tried it and wound up in a ditch is no reason to hate on the people who can.

Wrong, I can race with the best. Drag or Autocross. You can feel free to ask any of my friends. But drifting has a special challenge, although I prefer to do it in a rear drive car. Just doing donuts in a parking lot is one thing, but I'll bet you don't have the skill to put a high powered machine sideways through turns on roads or tracks without putting your car in the ditch or a tree.
Oops sorry nitro I thought you were talking to me.
Re: j-body FF Drifting!?!?

Well Nitro I would hardle call that a drift in your video, it's just a big burn out. I have autocrossed for four years now and taken my car to the road circuts around Ontario and there was a couple times (well alot of times actually)where the back end wanted to go threw a corner first. I think the best though was at a race track called Shannonville at a time trial, it started out as a heavy dew and continued pretty much all day, I was on track allmost all the time until a type R blew a oil cooler line and put his oil all over the track. The next five or more laps then became a little drift session and the first corner os a nice long right hander, well for those five or more laps I was sideways power on every lap around that corner, even putting the right front tire up on the curbing(rumble strip) a couple times.

I don't personally go out to try and drift my car except in the winter. It all depends on your car setup more air in the rear, sway bar, changing the rear shocks valve position etc will make it alot easier.
I agree, that was basically a glorified burnout. But you should see me behind the wheel of a rear drive car with an LSD...........
This is just my opinion so dont get offended.....

I have watched hundreds of hours of rear wheel drive drifting in the birth place of drift in Japan, and I gotta say, thats where its at. Have you ever seen a 700hp skyline drift in person?

I have seen many people "try" to do front wheel drive drifting but its not the same.

Has anyone seen actual drifting in japan? Because I can guarantee if you have seen the illegal stuff in person with Skylines, Silvias, and 180's you would not seriously consided front wheel drive drifting in the same catagory.

Just my two cents.
There are so few people in America who have seen real drifting. If you divide that number by ten thats how many Japanese drifters have seen FF drifting in japan. and even a smaller number of those can FF drift. The fact is FF drifting is just not well Known or understude. But it is growing. I wouldn't doubt if the people you seen try to drift weren't very skilled and that wouldn't look very impressive. but for that matter FR drifting doesn't look very impressive if the driver isn't skilled.

The sad thing is that I can't blame you for wanting proof. Although, this isn't the vs forum or anything, and I have nothing to gain by lying. I have a compilation video on my hard drive of many different cars drifting, and they do show 2 FF cars doing syncronized drifting around a nice sweeping bend. I can't host it though. QBE has the same vid, maybe he can host it.
I was being sarcastic.

With all the pro fwd drifters you claim are out there i'd think it would be pretty easy for you to come up with some proof on the net.
Because you're the one that claims there are por fwd drift cars, this is your post. I did a search on google for "por fwd drifting" and came up with nothing.
Well, try e-mailing QBE, maybe he remembers what the link was. He gave me a hard copy on disk, so I don't know what the link was.
