I just put a header on and removed the cat. Is there anybody who makes a O2 simulator for a 2001 Z24?
Casper electronics make them but if you search it theres a way to fool the computer into thinking you still have the cat I think the topic was called 5 dollar o2 simulator or mod can't really remember I have had one of the Casper electronic one's on my car that I got from rksport and it lasted about 2 weeks before started throwing codes and then it took about 3 weeks of dealing with rksports poor customer service before they sent me a new one going to be putting it in this weekend and we'll see how long it lasts probably going to get my money back on it and do the 5 dollar mod
if you aren't boosted... then why on earth did you remove the cat?
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
Scott, I'd highly suggest you put your catalytic converter for different reasons.
1. I believe PA has inspections so I don't think you want to fail for something silly as not having a catalytic converter
2. It's 50 state illegal and if you're caught with it off, you'll get a major fine.
3. Depending on your "taste" of how exhaust systems should sound, more than likely it sounds terrible, pops alot and is really loud (louder than an aftermarket exhaust should sound).
4. There is no performance gain on an All motor vehicle and you'll be losing backpressure which might actually in turn might make you lose power.
Overall, buy a highflow cat and put it back on. That's my 2 cents bro.

First to answer your first question. yes there is a O2 sim that works and cost much less than the RK one. About $5. Here is a post about it

Is that right???? You need to sit down and have a talk with my All motor J. Tell it not to run with supercharged J's anymore (8psi, with Alky injection).
Now I will say on a close to stock J no it will not help. I do have all bolt ons and cams. It was a big help. Yes the car is loud under WOT (but who cares).

I was thinking of putting like a glass pack in the piping. I have a Megan Racing 3'' turbo muffler and the car is loud all the time. i have a Db meter in my car for my system and with no music on, driving at 70-75 down the highway it reads 108-110DB, But the car seems run great. This winter i was plaining on RSM TB and ported manifold, all the pulleys, engine mounts, 1+mm Valves, port and polish, and cams. maybe a little NOS to top it off. so should i put the cat back on or say hell with it. The State Inspection is not an issue for me and i have no emmision testing.
i cant get the link to work from that post on the $5 simulator, what do i need for that.

Maybe I should have been more clear but I was talking about a car that is close to stock. Even if I didn't say that, there is still 3 logical reasons why they should have a catalytic converter.

What converter

?
I run a ZZ Performance o2 sim, they do GTP stuff, but being OBD2 their sim also works for me, plus they're only an hour away so shipping was cheap!
If you look at the second page of that post there is more info and a picture.

What you need is a spark plug antifouler. 18mm. You can get them at AutoZone, PepBoys. Most parts stores. 2 come in a package. You need 2 so just one package. They are about $3. You take one of them and drill it out with a 1/2 drill bit. The other one you leave alone. The one you drilled out your O2 sensor screws into it, and then it screws into the other one (the one you did not drill). now you screw the whole thing into your hole for the O2 sensor. Make sure you tighten it really good. You are done. I have some pictures, but having computer issues. Does anyone want to host them?
This is what you need.

I completely disagree.

My butt dyno showed gains with no cat before boost, but hell, noise does add HP
