When I squel my tires only one of the spins and the other stays still. Im curious if there is a way to eliminate this. I heard something about welding something? But I have no idea.

Quaife, Phantom Grip, etc... all good people to talk to to fix that problem... you need a limited slip differential... most economy cars (like ours) do not come with one.

i've never been able to burn out on just one tire. they both spin every time. Are autos and manuals the same in this area?

EVERY F^#&ING TIME! I come around a corner and punch the gas and only one spins! NO GRIP!!! I heard of welding them??? anyone heard of this... an old puerto rican backyard mechanic from the moutains told me that (mountain boys fix cars all day!)

the welding being refered to is welding the spider gears...do that and have fun trying to drive everyday.
the reason only one tire spins while turning is torque differences between the wheels caused by the open diff and unequal length axles

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

no weld is gonna fix that...

Jason (I think) from Team Green can hook you up with a nice LSD if you have the Isuzu manual tranny. Good quality, and even better price.

I'm with the other two-wheel wonders.
Also, you can weld it, but have you ever driven a RWD truck with lockers? Think of that, but twice as bad. Only good if you never plan on turning, but good for burnouts.

Get the Team Green (Speed Racer member here) drop in lsd for $215 shipped I just ordered mine and I'm waiting for it to arrive. It two 4140 billet plates with 900#'s of spring pressure against the spider gears, you'll definatly have both wheels spinning then. I can't wait for mine to get here.
2000 Z24 5spd header & catback for now.

phantom grip has worked well for myself. over 40,000 miles and about 1000 miles of auotX....

Never spun one tire always two tires for me. If you can't spin two it's only good becuase you only need to replace one tire when it wears out!

Ya I was just joking about only replacing one tire but it sounded good at the time.
