to zyyaaaaa we used to have the ole post count a long time ago. the only thing that brought about was tons and tons of people just making up worthless posts and worthless responces just to get their numbers up. then they would make worthless posts about how high their numbers were. just got way out of hand because of stupid people thinking a number meant something. same goes for the karma stuff.

I say switch the classifieds to a forum. If it was this way that whole Brandon Snizzle deal wouldn't have happened because John and the other guy would have been able to see he selling the hood to 2 different people at the same time. Also a color change wouldn't be bad. And to help prevent alot of the flaming about this engine is better and that one sucks, why not give each engine their own forum like clubcav. I like that setup because info is easier to find. Also random photo gallery on the front page.

P.S. like the smilies. ]:->

have VERY LITTLE IF ANY MECHANICAL SKILLS . Talking crap is just their way of hiding that
fact. They figure the more crap they say the less likley anyone will know how dumb they are.

I'm going to be doing something like that. I won't switch it to a regular forum, but I will be expanding the existing classified system to allow replies. I will also integrate regions into it, so you can narrow a search by region, and also integrate it somewhat with the regional forums.

the outlaw wrote:And to help prevent alot of the flaming about this engine is better and that one sucks, why not give each engine their own forum like clubcav. I like that setup because info is easier to find.

I don't like to have too much forum overlap, and I'm not sure how best to tie that in with our existing performance forums (5 of which directly relate to engines).

the outlaw wrote:Also random photo gallery on the front page.

Something along those lines should be coming soon.

That's what the FAQ section is for. I just need someone to enter it all nice and neat. The best way to do something like that, if anyone wants to take it upon themselves, is to post it in the forums, using whatever forum code you need to make it look nice, then email me the link to the post. I would actually like to move as many stickies as possible into the FAQ, and integrate the FAQ into the forums. Before I do that though, I'll be adding replies to FAQ entries. The main benefit to using the FAQ section is I have the ability to allow a designated person to edit the FAQ entry. That way the person who writes it can go back and modify at will.

Would it be possible to have more smilies per page so that instead of paging through 8 pages, there are only 4? Or a page similar to the one Phewes posted above me so that the smilies are quick to find instead of digging through pages? Maybe it'll get easier once I used them more, but for now I see it taking a long time to crack a smilie joke
