Yearly Inspections... and Exhaust set ups...

This is a question for those of you with upgraded exhaust setups and intakes, etc... especially if you live in Pennsylvania. What kind of inspection issues do you guys run into around that time of year? I'm hoping to upgrade my ehxuast setup and get an intake as well this summer. A friend of mine keeps telling me that I'm not gonna pass my inspection at the end of the year even with just an intake. How true is this and if this is true how do you all get around inspections ever year with these upgrades?

Little things like that aren't hard to swap out once a year if need be...

Just know the guy that's inspecting your car and pay him $20 extra. He'll zoom through it.

Ha my mechanic builds custom hot rods and wins awards . So he understands he wont say anyhting about mods unless any thing on the car is unsafe he goes over the car really well. Some of the other shops in town half ass it. I saw one shop do an inspection with out even taking the wheels off to look at the brakes. Thats bad!!!!!

I live in Pa and my car passed inspection with my weapon r headers, weapon r intake, 2.25" piping, magnaflow resonator, and street series magnaflow muffler. The cat i just installed is from magnaflow and it is obd II emmision legal high flow so i shouldnt have a problem.

Up where I live we dont have emissions tests, but when I took mine in for inspection the just visualy looked over my exhaust and as long as it didnt have any leaks it passed.

If your doing a cat-back and an intake, i dont see why you wouldnt pass inspection, theres like, no difference.

I am not in PA but unless they have an issue with the noise as long as you are not throwing a CEL or have bad readings you should be fine.
