i should be getting my head back from the machine shop this week, have my ARP head studs and MLS head gasket from cometic, (NA) ? Is what do i torque the nuts to on the studs.>? there wasnt any directions that came with the studs.... ps its an 02 cavi w/2200, thanks!

I would say 65ft pds if you want to double check go to the arp web site an check according to the bolt spec's

they are diff type of bolts then what stock are made out of so the torque specs should be diff go by what arp recomends for those bolts
YES it is going to be alot more, the stockers are torque to YIELD!!! they are much weaker than the ARP studs! i will let you all know after i talk to ARP

OH SHI# i just talked to a tech at ARP headquarters, they just told me that the only set of head studs they make for a cavi is for ECO_TEC's !!!! so what the hell did i buy then>>? they gave me specs for the ECO, but couldnt help me out on my 2200! i dont know if i am even going to use them now. i will talk to the machine shop tomorrow and see if they have any idea on what to do......Does any one here have head studs in their 2200? or am i the only one whose ever bought them?
I have the one's Mike originally had picked out for the OHV. Some of them seem kind of short though, so I won't know for sure if they'll fit until install. They are not made for the 2.2L, they're made for something else, but they should fits these as well.
On the side, anyone know if SCE made a copper gasket for the 2200, or just the 2.2L?

is it safe to assume that it would be the stock torque without the extra 90* tighten? I know the ARP's must stretch a little, but they aren't torque to yield like stockers..
anyone else have anymore info?
I torqued mine to 70 ft-lbs when i did mine. I don't think it would be stock, because 90 degrees after like 55 ft-lbs adds up to be a lot more torque then just 55 ft-lbs. After asking some other engine builders, and other torque specs on cylinder heads, they all seem to be right around 70 ft-lbs, so that's what i used.

I torqued my ARPs on my 2200 to around 75 ft lbs. I have torqued ARPs on 03-04 4 valve Ford Cobra motors, 98 Ford Cobra motors, and 04 Lightning motors anywhere from 65ft lbs to 80 ft lbs.
Or just torque them down until you hear a snap, and loosen them a tad.

Ya, i think 75 would also be a good number to torque it to. I'll be doing it to that on my new cylinder head.
