I have a 1997 2.2L OHV non-ecotec cavalier in which i am looking to do some engine work....I was wondering what kinds of things i can do because i am only 17 but would like to know as much as i can about my engine....i dont know much about things like cams and engine upgrades....please enlighten me...thanks JBO
easiest stuff to start out wiht would be:
intake
header
exhaust
....

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
sorry, should have added that i have an intake and a pacesetter exhaust...but headers does sound good, any suggestions...?
pacesetter ceramic coated header is good. then there is engine mounts, pulley set, tranny mounts if you have a 5 speed

Im a Xbox 360 fanboy...and damn proud of it!!
how bout j body performance cam and lifters and rods adds about 15 whp but you will need to tune your car then

x2
Biggest hurdle you are going to have is fuel delivery. Since the injectors are side-feed, you are limited to stock injectors.
If you add anything that will require more fuel (for example, forced induction) you are either going to have to swap engines to the 98+ 2200 or custom fab a top feed conversion.

stay away from JBP with a 2.2L OHV
If you want to have some 'in-engine' experience, search for MadJack's rocker thread
