Hey has anyone done this and if so where did you get the motor (year, make, model) and do you know what all mods would have to be done i normally work with all V8's in 60's-80's cars and trucks this smaller electronic stuff is all new to me if anyone can help it would be appriecated
Did you search at all? I would assume not...
not really a little but i didnt want to go through all the topics for like the next 2 weeks
Well, if you don't want to take the time to search and research yourself. And read all the information in those topics to learn as much as you can about the engine swap. I say nobody should help you, if your to lazy to research everything yourself on a very well discussed topic then you are to lazy to even attempt the engine swap. So don't even try to do it because you wont be able to.
In the planning stage for an all American TRD Cavalier.

ROFL.... i'd say you're the f--cking idiot. Do you know how many times people come on the forums and say "oh, i'm used to old v8's". Which is funny, cuz the REAL V8 guys do one of 2 things.
A) They dont bother hanging up the old Camaro's and Chevelles' and whatever else to come mod a J-body.
or
B) They have the knowledge to do something and figure it out. Including, where to pull a specific motor from.
But, usually it's both.
Someone got a BS flag to fly at the idea of this guy having a badass Chevelle. I mean, one that's better than this one
James/Raven doesnt post much here because he has answered the same questions OVER AND OVER again and everything is either on his cardomain or a main subject thread on 3800, he shouldnt have to answer the same questions over and over again, should he?
Besides that, he is extremely busy with work, even his friends barely get to talk to him much less someone that has a couple questions about something that he too would say, SEARCH.
With that out of the way, good luck with the swap
And here I was being nice posting some links...

I normally work with steam compressors on locomotives, this internal combustion stuff is all new to me. You think your all big and bad with your internal combustion, give me 2 pieces of steel and Ill outrun your Model T w/ my 28 Ton Heisler, its got dark coal conversion and a 68" Exhaust.

Now that was funny. Raven's car looks really good. He has so much more patients than I do. I can only hope to get my Sunfire looking 1/2 as good as that. I'm going to keep trying to get it there though. Any help offered would be good. I'm actually doing my research however. lol.
