Thanks Mike! This was my first time ever porting a head, so there are bound to be a couple inconsistencies, but the flowbench will for sure tell us more
Everything was taken to Forrest & Forrest Racing in Ayr, on Saturday. They told me 2-3 weeks as they're going to fit my small machine work in-between their other projects they're currently working on. Since i'll be assembling the engine myself, this saves them and myself alot of time (and money).
Hoping for an August break-in month at the very latest.
I haven't checked in here in a while, I like the progress and cps idea, keep up the work
Glad to see your finally getting near the end. I think the turbo looks good.

Good work dude. I'm looking forward to this getting done.
Good News....
This is the year!
All the major work is out of the way now.
Just tracking down a Vortec TB and flange, and then i need to do 1 last small machine work on my HG2 intake cam..... I decided to run the 2.4L PS pump :p
Wohoo!!!!!

LMAO i never noticed that, but that's my dad haha
Oh snap, uncle fester. Now that's some funny stuff right there. Almost as funny as you ever finish this build.
"Ha-ha", thanks Hannibal lol. How's that built motor (that you dropped) running? Oohh wait, that's right.....
My offer to help you push the cobra accross the finish line still stands, I'll just have to quickly drive back after my run
Mini update:
Haven't had much time to work on the car sadly, had other priorities. I got in my -10 AN hose/fittings for the turbo drain, but i lost the bid on that polished ls1 throttle body on ebay.
I'm going to be stopping by a local junkyard where there is a Vortec throttle body with sensors available, and i'm buying the flange tomorrow to weld. Also buying intake/exhaust manifold studs.
I had to port match my HO intake and phenolic spacer to the head and gasket, but didn't take pictures at all.
I managed to get the block up on the engine cradle and started loctiting the pipe plugs involved for the 2.3L oil pump swap, and started temp. assembly to mock up my oil drain into the pan.
Didn't manage to grab pics with the oil pan on and head on though.
That's all for now, time to get drunk. I'm 26 today. derp derp!
Well happy birthday...my g/f is taking me for sushi for mine! I'll drink to that.

Thanks man! Love me some sushi. There's a pretty awesome sushi joint (that everyone keeps telling me) that opened up not too long ago right near my new place. Have yet to try it out but i'm thinking this is finally be the week, i just gotta navigate this hangover first.
