Now that's insane, Luis! And not a bad idea, either! I just bookmarked it so I have a diagram/blueprint to follow for when I'm ready to attempt it on my truck. There's lot's more room under it than a J-car for which to play with the routing of the pipes, and it'll sure be a shock to the others at the scene to see a Double-Deuce'd dime remotely hair-dried. Thanks for the link!

As for the list of "What to do to the 2.2", I just invited other prominent LN2 builders on this board to help make-up a list of links as to what to do in a thread in this forum started by another member who has a LN2-powered S-truck who's looking to do a performance build-up of this engine also. The title pretty-much identifies it, and if you go there after a little while I'm sure you'll see a whole slew of links that will be helpful.

That's about all I can do for you now, marcel. Just follow the leads & you'll do well. Good-luck & happy wrenching!

LN2-builders unite!

to make it insane? Big block rwd conversion

to make it decent boost it

to make some power Ecotec it or one of the 3 series.

Northstar < Head gaskets

How's this for insane: Tubbed RWD conversion with boosted ECo-Tec power! Oh sure, you may get the kind of respect that was held for guys that did the same kind of mod late in the Pro-Street era (Pro-Street looks, dressed-up pedestrian engine. Officially were called "Pro-foolers".), but if you make enough power (Like the guy running Bonneville pushing 900hp out of a Eco-Tec on E85!) you'll have the respect of all the motorsports hobbists at your scene (Tuners & traditionalists). As well as around the country, once word gtes out.

Yeah, but the V6 at least fits within the confines of the engine bay.

Sure doesnt. The engine bay is no longer the same size as stock- lots of rebuilding and strengthening been done there (sorry to thread jack- carry on)

1997ztwo4, you wouldn't happen to have a video of your car would you?

If you want to make the LN2 "insane" you're going to have to do headwork, get a new cam, get new valves/pushrods/springs/etc., and then put a mid size t3 turbo on it (push 12lbs once you've changed out the injectors, spark plugs, and modified the timing).

Since the term insane can mean a few things...

You can add a huge dildo onto the front bumper and one of those dangling ballsacks on the back and have a paint scheme on the car to match, on the side it says THE PENETRATOR.

Insane

2003 Sunfire with a 2 1/4 inch turbo muffler, 2 1/4 piping to a 2 1/2 inch resonator (bigger to make up for the baffling), a 2 1/4 inch catalytic converter, 2 1/4 inch down-pipe, a ported LSJ manifold, a drop in K&N filtercharger and sports a Bomber body kit with a VIS Invader hood.

wow seems like you've thought about this thoroughly, are we going to see this in your future?
