Will the 95 2.3 ballance shaft assmeby fit into a 2.4? The reason I ask is because my machinist wants to see the setup and see what he can do to neutralize them. I have a spare 95 2.3 laying around. I might be interested in doing this with a melling pump in my vert since im going for a mid rmp torque beast and dont have to worry about the high rpm downfalls of the 2.4 pump.

From what I got from this post wasn't regarding the 2.3 pump swap but rather if the 2.3 balance shaft would fit in the 2.4. I think he just threw in that he was doing the melling pump because he wasn't planning on making big high rpm power. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think he was looking for the 2.3 pump swap info.

Haha yes im no newb, I alreay have one block with the 2.3 pump swap. I threw in i was doing a melling pump thing cus people are always saying the stockpump sucks so bad. For my vert that will never see high revs I dont feel like going through the trouble of the 2.3 pump swap.

I also thought I remebered reading they were the same part number but i cant seem to fnd the thread.

That would be cool. I am definitely interested. Guess it will come down to how much you want for them and how much I have at the time lol. Seems these days one second my pockets are loaded and the next they are empty.
