I'v lost count of how many hours i'v tried to find this answer and maybe i am missing it but what is required to swap in a F23 transmission into a 97 base cavalier with a isuzu transmission?? I understand that new holes need to be drilled but what about mounting it up to the engine and the CV axles?

Pull a F23 from a 2200 and it will bolt up to yours, and uses the same axles.
Front Trans mount bracket can be used by drilling a new bolt hole and trimming part of it. The rear is a completely different story.
New shift cables and shifter.
New slave cylinder and I believe master.

Hate to revive this semi dead form but I am looking to swap one of these in to my '97 Z.
The OP states "Base" Cavalier with Izzy Tranny.
Is the LD9 a direct Bolt up still or do I need to Slot the holes like the fuel rail with the Cobolt SS Injectors?
I will likely be active in the near future here as I am working on a Re-haul of a 97. (We will save that for another post)
Let me know on the Getrag Guys, I can start yard hunting for this ASAP!
