i dont know if some of you realised this ....but i believe thats all this piece is....is a piece that covers that portion that cracks between the dash pad and the window...i think you guys are misreading this

96Z24: Actually, we were working on a piece that would cover the ENTIRE area of the front of the dash (not just the physical crack). Others are suggesting that we just make a small, 6 inch strip or so to cover that specific cracked area.

what i was saying is that the peice i took it you were making was a piece that covered the whole strip between the window and the dash mat ...like...that goes from driver side window to passenger side window...and covers that whole part....but does not cover the dash mat.... i think some people are thinking you are making a piece that covers the whole entire dash mat and that piece that cracks...get what im saying?

if im wrong oh well...thats just how i took it

enough with the chat make with the pics lol, i've been trying to figure out how i'm going to get enough slack in the dash to wrap carbon vinyl over my dash, but if your peice works out nicely i'll be down for that.

96Z24 - Yeah man, you're right. It's just a piece covering that top part of the dash, NOT the entire dash pad.

J~ Few more weeks

Ahhhh. Bastids. I was talking to another supplier about this a couple weeks ago, but the plans fell through cuz we had too much other stuff to do.
Oh well, at least someone in the J community is making it and not some large company that doesn't need the money.
Rock on man!

Man, we really need to get working on this. Seems like a lot of people are interested.

What do you guys consider to be a "decent price" per say?

My hasnt cracked yet... but if it did, covering it wouldnt be very high on my priority list. I'd give maybe $20?

Don't forget the J-Body discount... yeah... hey I tried.

20 sounds good for fiberglass....20 and free shipping maybe? lol or 25 shipped

Re: A solution to the cracked dash...

I'm not sure if we can do it for that cheap. Right now, I'm thinking it would be about $35 for the piece that would cover the entire front part of the dash by the windshield (plus the shipping costs).

We should have something in just a few more weeks.

Anyone else interested?

Yeah, we're working on doing that, but we wanted to wait until we had pictures and everything ready to go.

$20 is too cheap... Way too cheap. $35 is too. There's quite a bit of work into making fiberglass/cf stuff, and there's no way they'd be able to make them for that amount, and make it worth their while.

My suggestions...
fiberglass - $50-60
carbon fiber - $75-85

Don't sell your time/efforts short guys.

I have to agree with Jason on this one. Come on guys cf and even fg stuff is pretty pricey. I would pay close to 100 for a nice carbon fiber one. keep us updated.
