I'm interested in a CF one, even though i don't have a crack. 50 is as high as i'd go for just the long 6 inch panel.

dude he is making something that goes over the entire front section of the dash where the heck did you get the idea it was only 6 inches?

^^ he's making something at is only like 6 inches!?!?! its not the whole dash pad. just the part closest to the window where it usually cracks.

That "ENTIRE area of the front dash" is that 6-inch section. Just the part that cracks. From windsheild to defroster vent, all the way side to side.

Thanks for the pic Matt!

Yeah guys, Matt's right. This is covering the whole front part of the dash that is in your vehicle. NOT just 6 inches of it...the entire piece.

People are getting confused.

The part, as I understand it, is the plastic trim piece that runs along the windshield. It is 6" deep, but as wide as the entire dash. The part won't cover the dash pad from about where the vent is all the way to the radio bezel.

Review Z24Colorado's picture. That's the area the piece will cover. It's basically an overlay, not a replacement.

I can't wait I've been wanting some carbon fiber there to hide my crack. I'd say no where over 150 shipped for these

I knew what they were talking about. someone else was getting confused or i was just reading it wrong. They are making a piece that is about 6" wide and about 4 feet long to cover the entire piece that runs along the front of the dash between the defog vent and the windshield. And I can't wait I'm tired of looking at that stupid crack.

Well once a mould is made the you can just start rolling them out.I just wouldnt see these as very expensive since they are not very big or thick. Id say 20 for just the fiberglass base piece. Then carbon fiber could be more.

I dont know the cost of materials or production...

And I agree that you do have to try to make some profit off of these...

But don't make the prices rediculious just cuz you're the only people that has em...

Supply and demand... I know you know how it works lol.

I would definently be interested in the piece but I would hope you really get it right. Not just a improper fitting piece. It should look like that is the way the car was made. That's why I wont buy the carbon fiber overlay for the radio/climate control area. It's just a mass produced stick on that probably doesn't look very clean. Props for the idea though, I'm sure it will be a great addition to my car.

Ive given up waiting I took most of the dash apart today. It is not going to be to difficult to replace the whole damn thing.. The onlything im concerned with is getting the stearing wheel off. Maybe i can get some info from those of you that have done it or taken the wheel off. Thats all i will need to know once i get the replacemnt dash.

Yeah, we haven't had the chance to get around to it just yet. We should be stripping out the project cavalier within about 2 weeks from today so that we can get that piece out to fiberglass it. We'll be offering the fiberglass piece for starters (which can be painted) and probably won't get into the carbon fiber ones for quite some time down the road. When I start the group purchase on this, it'll probably be for the fiberglass pieces (should be around $80 or $85, but don't quote me on that.

Thanks!

I suggested this same thing to my favorite parts guy a few months ago. I'd buy it at <100.

I would purchase it for sure, if it was high quality !

If you choose to rape me though like RK does for CF @!#$, nope. I will be happy to cover materials and labor whatever that may be though.
