I'd LOVE to do that.

Not yet. Going to see what the two piece looks like when finished beforehand.
David Ingram wrote:Lookin good man. I also have a Turbo Guard filter
Hell yeah! Should be nice compared to running no filter like I have in the past.

the 2 piece rear lip would look good w/ the diffuser. does look like chopped up version of the RKSport rear lip that connects the 2 sides.

Valve job done and head is assembled.
I had the machine shop measure the strength of my stock springs VS the Mantapart springs. Mantapart are in fact stiffer. I'll post the numbers when I get home.
Now to figure out what thickness Cometic I want to use.

I think have the numbers somewhere too. I had Brad measure my Mantapart springs and my Olds Rocketpart springs a few years ago

So did you go with the manta springs or HO springs?
RIP silver car. You will be missed.

I don't have any HO springs. Only had the Mantapart in hand.

Are you sure that turbo is going to drain properly? That's not much of an angle.
That Powder coat!

Engine has been in for a bit now. Runs great but couldn't drive it due to a rock solid clutch pedal.
It turns out Clutchmasters sent me a Cobalt slave cylinder with my FX300 kit. I unknowingly installed it before the engine went in. They are identical aside from boot color and the inside of the clutch line side is different. Had to pull trans and thankfully found the problem immediately.
Anyone else have this problem with Clutchmasters?

364 days of the year I'm like "There's no @!#$ way I'm buying another J-body." Then I come to this thread and I'm like "@!#$ it I'm buying another Cavalier!"
Seriously though. I like how you are always able to keep your car up top date with the current style while doing something different.
Just put the fx300 in my car 2nd week of July. No issues with the slave I got from them. Only downfall was we had to source pressure plate bolts from elsewhere.
Also, was your clutch alignment tool very "loose" when lining it up? Mine slid tight into the clutch disc itself, but the tip that went into the crank seemed a bit loose.

Same issue with the alignment tool!
I am figuring the slave was an accident and there is a cobalt owner out there dealing with the same issue I was.
