a dot is what people call anthony jones.  he use to use a. jones hence the name A dot

Usually like a spell that deals damage over a short or even long period of time. Like poison for example..

yeah but a cavalier still has to roll a d20 for accuracy... and has to roll a 19 or better just to land a hit >.>
