Where can I find a box big enough to ship a hood in? I am going to ship it through DHL, so the shipping is pretty much taken care of. I just need to find a box big enough to fit a hood in. Are there any shipping facilities which would have boxes this big? If this is in the wrong forum, please move it. Any info will be appreciated. I gotta get this thing out asap. (I have already looked at several local body shops and car dealers)

i work at a UPS Store and we would do something like that for you, but i dunno if you have any stores near you, and if there are, if they are prepared for something like that. if they didnt have a single box for you, they could probably make one from 2 smaller ones. we do it all the time for people.

^^^^i've sent a hood, couple bumpers and spoilers via DHL and they receiver had no problems whatsoever

u can use dhl they handle your gear well, but if you have dogs were you live (ie, a ranch like me) those @!#$s will puss out and make your drive to get your @!#$.

You know, when DHL first came out i thought they sucked from stories i heard, but sence then i have used them alot, actually we use them daily as our primary shipper, and they are amazing. Quick as hell and we havent had a damaged package yet.

just make sure and double the top and bottom of the hood , to protect it

I've shipped a blue million things through DHL-- fiberglass hoods, fiberglass bumpers, etc. etc. I've never had ANY problems with them. Most of the items I ship arrive at the buyers house the very next day. The hood I shipped I didn't even find a box for it... I just wrapped it up good with bubble wrap. I will not do that with this one though--- no way. This hood will be wrapped up good--- very good. The only issue I am having is trying to find a box.... still. I'm going to go call UPS and overnight and a few other places right now though.

James, you make sure you're home whenever DHL delivers that hood-- just in case something does happen to it. It will be insured for a butt load.

maybe you could find a smaller box and wrap it around the hood and tape the ends... and make sure to bubble wrap the hood. that might work. i dont know im just throwing out ideas.
