hey guys, i just found the mirrors for my car... ive been looking everywhere and kicking myself for not buying them earlier...
2dr, manual, no LED, Carbon fiber M3 mirrors...
my one question is... please dont rag on me to hard...
how do you install them? OBVIOUSLY take off the old mirror, put on the new mirror...
but i noticed there is a foam behind my mirror cover on the inside... i removed that, and i found a rubber grommet? where are the bolts? what size do i need... can a rookie do this by himself? i assumed it would be 3 bolts, very straightforward and very easy... but that rubber grommet told me, i needed to get some help...
i havent bought them yet, im watching them in my ebay until i hear from you.

oh... its an 2000 base coupe
there are 3, 10mm nuts that hold the mirror to the door. you should be able to see them after you took off the foam piece. the bottom one is kind of tough because of the angle, so watch you don't drop the nut down in the door.
ive taken the doors apart before, im not worried about dropping it, unless thats not going into the speaker side of the door... haha
what about the grommet? just rip it out?
^^ you wont get it back... it will go between the inside metal of the door and the outside metal. it doesnt drop between the door panel and the actual door. as for install, i think when i put a stock mirror on my car i took out the foam and used the rubber piece... not 100% sure... its been a little while.
also, i think you should reconsider the fake cf mirrors. they may look cool in pictures, but they look really fake in real life. imo they look like crap.

Ya man make sure you do not drop those nuts in ur door. i did and it sucked. but if you do just unscrew the bottom screws on your door and it should fall out when you pull on the bottom of your door.
note to self... magnetic nut driver needed...
