I'm in the market for a cf hood pretty bad. theres a kid in town that has an invader style on his car, i was finally able to check it out today and it looked BAD.
Had a couple stress cracks on the sides, and the driver side corner is over rolled.
what spooked me is it is ViS. i thought that was a good brand but this one wasnt looking so hot.
so my question is who around here has them for sale thats pretty high quality?

that doesnt mean vis put it out that way. he could of caused all the stress cracks in it.
He said it came like that, and i shouldnt say stress cracks, just about half way down driver side theres a couple ccracks, and the driver side corner looks almost pushed down.
i bought my VIS hood on ebay. it came very professionally packaged-nice n tight.
i was pretty impressed by everything about my hood (VIS oem style). the quality is outstanding, all the bolt holes lined up perfectly. i did have to modify the latch because there isnt a hole in the hood under where the catch latch bolts on (done for strength) but it wasnt anything hard.
mine still shines with the flawless gloss it came with when i first bought it. zero stress cracks.
not to be rude, but if thats your Cav in your sig Z YAAAA, it isnt that great of fitment. A quick glance shows the left side stick further out then the right side, unless your bumper is screwed.. Still Very nice hood though, im lookin to get a VIS Evo hood.
Unless your buying a used cf hood or some knockoff brand off ebay, you should have no worries. Just make sure the company you buy the hood off of will let you return it if damaged. And ALWAYS inspect your packages when they arrive before you sign away.
so is a ViS hood off ebay not a true vis? I am really interested in these, but kinda in the dark on the info thanks guys.
