new to the cav style

K, I've been doing a lot of simple tuning stuff to my car and I'm new to all of this but I've been looking around at more of the exterior visual stuff and I'm wondering: how do I do all of this? I'm driving an 02 cav.

Anyone just chime in if you have some basic info. How do I:
Black out my rear lights. I don't even know if this is the right term, but I love the black tail lights, they look great.
Make my front lights like the ones on the mazda 6, where you can actually see the lamp, that sort of style. Anyone have an idea?

Is taking off the side moulding really worth it? I can barely tell a difference, and plus there are bennefits to having it? Does side moulding even protect your car at all?
Do carbon hoods actually do anything other than looking cool?

I know this is newbie stuff but any input would be appreciated.

i think u mean projectors

too much $$ for my wallet i'd just settle for these. they arent projectors but they are nicer than stock imo

the side molding does protect your car agains dings if thats where something bumps it. if you like te look its not too hard to do and its cheap.

carbon fiber hoods are lighter than stock so you will have a slightly better than stock power to weight ratio. but they aslo look damn cool.

good luck and it would help us help you if you fill out your profile.

why would he buy a whole new set of headlights when all he has to do is take apart his current ones and paint the housing?

with the basicness of the questions he was asking i wasnt sure it was something he would be brave enough to try. but yes painting is also an option. and cheaper.

You could buy aftermarket ones on eBay or get some transparent spray paint from Autozone. I can't think of the name right now but I know I saw some.

They do protect your doors from dings but I don't park close to anyone unless I have to. I'll assume yours aren't painted, so you could paint 'em. My black Cav came like that and they look pretty good especially with Drift Side Skirts.
