1984 Chevrolet Cavalier

About This Vehicle:

This car was purchased new from Gene Taylor Chevrolet in 6-16-1984 by the Cobb Corporation in North Carolina, and I am the 5th owner. My father in Law (Richard H. Wineinger) the 4th owner, bought it when it had 164,174 miles on the clock, He gave it to me in July of 2006 with 189,000 miles on it. My brother and I transported it to it's home now in Michigan. It now has 203,000 miles as I drive it as much as possible during the summer to many car shows and cruise events. It has been driven numerous times in the Woodward Dream Cruise, the Eastpointe, Michigan Gratiot Avenue Cruise where it has been a featured car in their parade of cars. It has also been cruised in the Harper Avenue Cruise, and the North Gratiot Cruise. I've also driven to a town in the thumb of the lower peninsula of Michigan called Harbor Beach on two occasions for a benefit car show and has had pictures of it published in two editions of a Michigan magazine, The Cruis'News. I've won nearly 60 trophies since I began showing it with the United Street Machine Association (the largest car club in Southeast Michigan) in 2009. I have also won best of show twice at Dooley's restaurant's Sunday evening Cruise night. This fine old car is a survivor! My oldest grand daughter, Madison, named it "Papa's 'Vertible" when she was little and could not say convertible. She hopes to make it her's when I've passed on to my reward.
