Not me, thats what the 4WD on the Trailblazer is for. I cringe just thinking about driving my Trailblazer thru salt and sh1t. I wash it atleast once a week in the winter, sometimes more.

Not the Cavalier, but I used the Sunfire GT for that last year & probably

I drove mine through 2 N. Dakota winters and then again here in Germany (not even close to ND!) Biggest thing to watch out for are those clumps of ice/snow that fall off cars and trucks in front of you if you are lowered and/or have a kit!! I know mine won't clear that crap.

Get a set of steelies and snow tires to save your rims and then do a REALLY good wax job before winter sets in. Hit the touchless car wash as often as needed and then clean her up in the spring. WD40 does wonders as well on the under carriage to protect it from rusting and such (hit my wheel wells and under body every year). Helps with some of the sqeaks and pops famous in the Cavalier too

This will be the last year though as too much money is getting invested and I can't take risks like that much anymore. I don't ever want it to be a trailer queen though, just not in snow and slush every year!

Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?

I have a 95 S-10 blazer, but I can't afford to put gas in it. I will probably have to drive my daily driven 97 Z-24.
My 96 Cav, turbo, FMS, RK Sport boby kit and my daugther's 97 Cav, lower to the max on coil-overs, drift kit, will be parked all winter. I also park my V8, pro street Chevy Astro during the winter.

My '03 was my primary vehicle through the last 2 winters, but I bought a '97 Dodge Ram 4x4 to drive if it gets really messy this year. I'll still drive the Cavalier most of the time (gas mileage), but I won't hesitate to drive the ram before the roads have been plowed this year.

I went through a harsh winter last year here in Indiana. I think I only slid like once around a corner but never lost control whatsoever. My 'fire does awesome. I recently hit a hole that the idiots who work on roads dug out and didn't fix right away and slit my tire and dented one of my rims, so I just went ahead and put on my winter tires and I'll be styling again next spring after I get it fixed. My tires were bald last year, too. Seriously, the metal wires were popping out of one. Still never had a prob' in the snow, and I drove around 50 miles a day between school and work. So, I drove in it all. My sister's mustang got stuck like 3 times. HAHAHA!!! Front wheel drive vehicles rock.

my 00 cav saw 3 winters since bought brand new the first 2 it did great but i made the stupid mistake of leaving the stock wheels and rubbers on for winter rather then buy snow tires the winter that just past and i put her in the ditch and ruined the front bumper and rear bumper :S well it's ok becuz that gave me the motive 2 re-do my car the way i wanted it from day one...

mind you my car plowed through the snow ever other year better then most 4x4's did....

the J works very good in snow actually. when everyone got stuck, my just runs throught the snow. Been driven mine through snow since I bought it in 98 because that's what everyone does here, can't afford a beater or don't want to mess with a beater.

WHAT? impossible yea right. I live in Northern Minnesota and when I had my last cavy, I got stuck about 8 times last winter.

haha yah..I got stuck while driving casually down a street. The snow packed up under the car and lifted the front end I had to wait for about an hour and let the engine heat melt the snow/ice built up. Winters here can get really nasty..but i must say, I find GM vehicle's all around are great in snow. Usually imports and caravans are dug out all the time. The caravans are to heavey and fwd..the imports are way to light and get snow stuffed under when the plow passes
Although between my old 2nd gen Z and my now 3rd gen Z. The 2nd gen would walk thourgh anything in its way

yeah im in wisconsin and last winter i got stuck in my drivway (the one time it really snowed

My 04 Sunfire GT has never seen snow. One reason is Vortech recomends NOT running the supercharger at temps below -25 deg. But my wife drives her 2000 Cavalier in the snow no problem with a set of winter tires. I use my 1996 SLT Jimmy in the winter. Get this we went from + 25 deg c then two days later we had a snow storm and some areas had 40 cm of the white stuff that was a week and half ago.Today the temp is going to be +18 deg c what a country!

AAAAAAAAAh winter just around the corner. I try not to drive my cavy in the snow (ground control suspension). So I use my winter ride as much as I can simply because I dont want to get salt on the cavy. Another reason is it sucks in the snow being lowered. I could raise it but when it gets back I simply bust out the jeep. Sometime you just have to put up with it and drive it. But when you get a chance at least go to a car wash and hose it down.

Well, since my other car is a Fiero....yeah, I'll be driving the cavvy, blower and all.

I may take out the Fiero now and then to run it, and do some crazy-ass donuts, but most of the time I'll be in my front-driver forced-induction econobox. Just going to have to learn to NOT step on the accelerator....
