2.4 vvt ecotec less than 20 miles
Friday, January 27, 2006 3:34 PM
I have availiable to me 100 2.4 v v t eco tecs with less then 20 yes 20 miles on them. Would anybody be interested in these for around $1250. $1000 if i can sell 10 or more?
I need to know so i can get this going. serious buyers only. These are complete engines just need a trans. When i say complete i mean it, from ac pump to engine cover from pressure plate to crank pully yes these have a clutch on them. If you have an eco tec already this is a direct bolt in just have to program the V V T. Or the bottom end would be nice to add a few cubes to your 2.2. i will not part these out so dont' ask this price is dirt cheep.

Nope sorry there are no harnesses or ECU's but every thing else is there right down to the belts. You can refer any questions to coop or I. Oh yeah and if your within an hour or so of cleveland ohio I'll bring them to you for 35 bucks.

yep gurenteed to run no problems no issues no catch. They are drop outs from brand new cars for engine swaps. To us they're not really worth any thing but as you could imagine they take up a ton of space so we just need to unload them. we have even talked about if we sell more then 20 knocking them down to 800 or so a piece, but with the awsome price they start at i doubt any one will want to wait to put a group buy together.

now these are direct bolton motors for the 03 cav for example. You just need the wiring harness? If so the wiring harness plugs into the rest of the car just fine right? Or does the stock wiring harness work?

They are a direct replacement for the V V T cars like the cobalt and solstice to drop it the caviler i would think you need to do a few things like swap throttle bodies as these are the cables versions and use the V V T harness and ecm. but they will go in and bolt to your trans and your engine mounts so on and so forth. I dont' know a whole lot about the cavi eco tecs but at the very least you can swap the bottom ends and make your 2.2 a 2.4.

Oh i see what your saying the harness is a lot diffrent then the cavi harness so the easiest thing would think to do would be use your stock harness and add the 6 wires for the VVT and use the VVT ecm like the honda guys do

the only bad thing about these is ther is alot of work needed to make them work in j-bodys, alot

but my guess is they are from malett cars........i.e engine swaps so they pull the new one out and have em sittin around.

I would buy one but i have no use for it. Al it woudl be to expensive to try and make it work in are cars.......alot more thna hook up 6 wires

damn good price though

Yea i spell liek wrong get over it.

I'd love to pick one of these up....... even if its just to add to my collection.

hell........ Adam or Jon..... pick one up...... drop your car, and the engine off at my garage, and I'll get it in there...... (might need a blank check, or CC to buy all the parts...... but I'll get it in)

most of the wiring is the same the only difference you guys are gonna have is the V V T you can swap out the TB and other little things that would cause problems. I have one in my fiero hooked up to an ION ecm so......... And like i said at the very least you can use the bottom end drop your head on it and you have a 2.4 with a bullet proof bottom end.
