explain?

out of the 22k plus participants and spectators I hardly think you can classify 1-2% as a bad crowd.

Been going for the past couple years and have had no problems.

why do you think they keep changing the location? why do you think they keep banning it from this location or that? they're a VERY disruptive, STUPID crowd.

Do you live in a bubble? Or did somthing happen to you or your vehicle personally in 2003 or 2004?

The All Truck Nationals are as big and "as bad" if not worse and they are still allowed at the fair grounds. Sorry but if you look at the statistics they ran at the end of the 2003 show it was only like 1.6%.

Also It was welcomed back to the farm show complex this year in harrisburg but CP productions opted to not take it back there due to too many people being unsatisfied with the lay out especially no grass to park in and no shade. You basically got to roast in the sun and the heat of the concrete for 12+ hours each day.

It cracks me up because the roudyness is compareable to englishtown and nopi, if not a notch or two mellower.

So to recap "all these moves"

-2003 was the last year in carlise (two years ago)
-2004 Was in Harrisburg but CP opted out of that location in 2005 due to participant input not because they were "forced" to move again.
-2005 will be in State college because aside from the town of Carlisle it has the venue space and "other areas" to possibly hold interest due to it being a college town.

Before you start refering to the CROWD as STUPID maybe you should get your facts strait.

i'll be there, a few of my club members and i are making the trip to the show this weekend. I love this show, ive been to every one since the first in carlisle, it does tend to get a bit crazy here and there, but honestly last year in Harrisburg kinda sucked, it was a bit too mild for me, i was hoping for a bit more rowdiness and the security there was incredibly strict. Im all about being safe but hey if a girl wants to flash let her flash The main reason for the shows being moved from carlisle was that the town heard about things such as sex in public and the security officer being beat up and refused to allow it there any longer. Its really terrible how just a select few always seem to ruin, i loved the first year in carlisle when me and my buddies all got to camp on the grounds next to our cars, but that too was ruined, anyways i do have one question, does anyone know if my club will be able to park together when we cruise in the gates together, theres like 8 of us and we all have different cars, i tried emailing the CP staff but dint get a response, just let me know, thanks

According to Chris from CP yes you will beable to park as a group and then just drive to the judging tent when you are ready to be judged.....

my facts are as follows: 2 girls, streetracing, hit my friend's girlfriend's car broadside. she dies. he's in the hospital for a month. this is one of about 30 accidents that i heard about having happened shortly after the show ended - that same night.

don't talk to me before you know where i'm coming from, and don't talk to me like i'm an idiot, thanks. when so many accidents happen immediately following ONE show, one would tend to think it's the people showing up to it, don't you?

why are you getting all sandy about it, anyway...did you plan it? did you fund it? NO? SO PEOPLE ACTUALLY HAVE AN OPINION THAT'S DIFFERENT FROM YOURS?@!>@>
Re: Modified Madness

I'm getting "sandy" about it because you know of an experience of a friend's uncles's sister's twice removed fairygod mother who had a bad experence and you wrote the whole show off. If you didn;t like my answer to you, you should have not answered for Rodimus.

Rodimus stated a simple statement and I asked a simple question. You started with the "idiot" @!#$ which doesn't suprise me one bit.

So bright eyes, tell me where I can find the news artical saying these girls left the show and killed this person along with the 30 other accident statistics. Then again take a look at the area in general. Carlisle is a car town / Truck stop. Street racing happends more than just at this show especially out there. Christ me and Brad went to the GM nationals last year and saw the same @!#$ with guys in their 40's to 50's doing in older V8s. So don't give me this self ritous bull@!#$ that street racing killed your buddy's GF and the only reason it happend was because of 22k attendees at this one show that according to you are all "stupid"......

Funny thing is I was there the past two years sober driving around most of the evening and never came across all these accidents you claim. Don't tell me they happend 20 miles away form the event location. If thats the case how can you even accociate it with the show. Also as soon as you LEAVE the fairgrouds for the day heading to where ever you sit in about an hour of traffic so there is no open road to "street race". Maybe do ricers revs but thats about it.

I'm not going to deny there are a very small percentage of people who do stupid stuff, yet a small percent is not everyone, and is deffinatly not a reason to discurage some one from going.

Oyyci, if you have never been to this show I suggest you try it, just use your head. This year is going to be new in several aspects so it will be an some what new expereince for most people. Last year at Harrisburg, it didn't have the same feel and CP even accknowledged this, that is why it changed locations again, not for the mass chas and red asphalt some are making it out to be.

Me and a few from SJ will be there to rep!

Not to start anything but @!#$ happens. There is always a few of the 'bad crowd' that sometimes make more of an impact to make things look worse then they are!

Re: Modified Madness

They classify you when you get there. All your window sticker will say is domestic and have an orange top.......

Outdoors before you go under the tent, they will have you pop your hood and a person will walk around your car with you and a sheet. You will point out the different areas of interest IE, wheels 18inches or bigger, done interior, ICE, Body work, any molded stuff, suspension motor work etc. They will check stuff off if they meet the requirements then tally up the points. Its like if you have 11 and under you are in mild, 12 and over you are in wild. From that point you will go under the tent, and there will be a judge that will go around the car and actually judge it using that sheet as a guide as to what to look for....

That is a down and dirty explination on how they will classify you outside.

I saw you and your car at import wars, shot a couple pics of it. The only person i stopped to talk to was joe cause i was sure it was him cause you can't mix up his car with anyone elses. lol I'm gonna go up like i said sunday, i dunno if i am gonna be driving or catchin a ride up yet, but if i drive i'll probably be in my 98 2.2 black cav with teal d-1 fenders maybe parts of a BC2 kit on, (dunno if i'll have time to get any on) and a tribal graphic on the side. i'll look for all your cars, and look for cars with JBO stickers, if i see ya, i'll stop and talk for alittle
