You have to remember, they haven't dealt with pretty much any GM platform before, so they probably haven't checked into who makes stuff for us before. It's probably the same way with the Neon's and other domestic car manufacturers.
I for one can understand why they don't know who makes stuff for us. If I were them, and mainly focusing on import and VW as the main things, I wouldn't check into Domestic, I would be more than happy with just the import tuner scene.

The fact that they are asking for information does not mean they are completely without knowledge of the market. However, it's cheap, easy research to ask an enthusiast. Enthusiasts know what's up and will always have good information to share. We do the same thing when looking at new items / markets. You guys are invaluable!
